Kotelnik is a decent fighter! A big win for Alexander was never in the bag. Maidana lost to Kotelnik, and British P4P legend Gavin Rees got stopped by him (apply a ;-) to the latter).

The fight doesn't necessarily show that Alexander isn't top dog at 140...his KO of Urango is something that I don't think Khan or Bradley could have done (Khan might have "stopped" him though). That said, Khan completely outboxed Kotelnik in his 140 debut. Styles make fights, and I can't wait for Khan, Devon and Bradley to get it on.

BRADLEY is short and comes straight in and will get outworked, hit with accurate punches and THEY'LL both roll out so he won't have a clean target to reply. You guys think to much of BRADLEY. I like him but I am also a realist who doesn't show favortism like most of yall on here. He'll have a serious problems with both of them. ALEXANDER got exposed tonight. I guess you'll deny that as well!
People thought Ortiz and Khan weren't going to lose for a good while until Oriz met Maidana and Khan met Prescott. I like Bradley but not too big on him actually. I do think he has the skills to beat anyone in this division though, so what's wrong with that? You know just because my opinion differs from yours doesn't mean I show favoritism, it's just the way I see it. Now if I was saying all this crap with blind excuses and no facts then I could see your point. You are right in saying that Devon got exposed tonight. Kotelnik showed that with a stiff jab you can throw Devon's rhythm off. When are these fighters going to learn that the jab is the key to everything!? Props to Kotelnik though, this guy really impressed me.

Devon looked like poop. I was expecting alot more from the kid, these 140lbers got a ways to go. He was jabbing on his back foot pulling back, had no defense, and wasted a lot of energy trying to look like a fighter instead of actually fighting. Kotelnik got robbed hard.

I was suprised how much problems Alexander had with Kotelnik's average ass, Kotelnik was out jabbing Alexander way too much and Alexander has a superb jab. He looked a little shaky from the start I think it was home town nerves ( or maybe Mayweather jk ) but that still can't hold up for that performance. Imo he too Kotelnik too lightly maybe didn't focus as hard as he should have, this was def a learning experience which will make him a better fighter the kid is 23 he's got time.

Be very careful what you wish for...

Because in the real World, Alexander lost by D at least 115-114 and should be So thankful DK protected his investment as shamelessly as He has been before. This is Why DK is not on the top promoter list anymore.
Alexander haD a few good rds at the start, until Koteinik figured him out. After that Alexander could not land sht and got counter for more than 7 rounds. The stinky D is all He got and He can forget about a fight vs Bradley. He needs to rematch this guy and pass this test before He can be put against Bradley or Khan. Alexander is not on the top 3 of his division.

So he had to KO the guy to win the fight? This is why people are turned off of boxing. A guy clearly wins a fight yet he somehow loses. Is this pro wrestling now? Kotelnik would have won if the fix wasn't in, you mean.

There's only one reason that it wasn't enough, and it hasn't got anything to do with what happened in the ring, but outside of it.

                      Max Lellerman before the fight:
"If I would have to bet one of the young boxers to become a future top P4P, I would bet on Devon Alexander"

I wonder if he still believes this??

Devon will have a good career, but not that good!!!
