Tito Trinidad
Who Was Your First Favorite Fighter?

Probably my 2 favorite all time fighters. Hearns had great boxing skill on top of his tremendous punching power. A lot of fighters are too content with their power when its that dangerous, but he had a great, great jab too and was light on his feet. No fighter Ive ever watched either on tape or live has caused the same level of amazement Ive felt watching Roy Jones perform at his best. His athletic abilities were abnormal.Comment

Felix "Tito" Trinidad.
All-time great Puerto rican fighter who would fight anybody
Also loved that throughout most of his career he would get dropped and then get up and proceed to knock his opponent out in the very next round.Comment

Vargas-Trinidad may possibly be the best all action fight I've ever seen. Two highly skilled fighters going out there and swinging for the fences. I probably watched that fight 100 this first month I recorded it. Very good fight gotta love Tito.Comment

Tyson got me into boxing as a young kid....followed by Roy Jones Jr, Erik Morales, B-Hop.
I also loved Fernando Vargas and one of the first big fights I watched was Felix Trinidad vs Fernando Vargas. Damn what a fight that was...I was a kid but I remember that fight being HUGE at the time and Vargas was a special talent. I used to play as him on Knocking Kings 2001 lol...Last edited by CaRnAgEViOLaToR; 08-07-2010, 02:52 PM.Comment

I would have to say it was a tie between the G-Man, and the Surgeon.
First fight between G-Man and Jackson, I was like "okay, I like this fighter"...Then the "night of rematches" (I think that is what the card was called on showtime that night), and he spanked out Jackson again, that did it for me.
Now it was either the same night, or shortly after that Frankie Randell took on Chavez for the first time...I had seen Randall before, but never saw him come into the ring until the Chavez fight. He had on a surgeon's outfit. Loves his style before, but I was really hooked after seeing that.
My two very close seconds would have to be Stevie Johnston (mainly cause he is from my home town, and I have been follwing him since the amatures, and the days of USA tuesday night fights...Think that was the name of it) and of course Tito!!! Been following Tito since the early days of showtime.
Come to think of it, there were a lot of fighters I liked and supported back then...A young James Toney would have to be on the list too! Along with Nunn, Terry Norris (also fought on the night of rematches card. I think he fought a cat named Brown or something)...There are to damn many!!! That was my era!!!Last edited by HandSpeed303; 08-07-2010, 02:45 PM.Comment
