Cloud and Dawson destroy Beibut, especially Cloud. Dawson would make him look like an amateur.

Shumenov has no business even uttering the name of another possible opponent until he legitimately wins a fight against Campillo. He'll never be a real champion until that happens

Shumenov would not land a single punch on Chad Dawson, it'd be like Mayweather-Gatti.

Dawson had to either rematch Tarver or get taken to court and had his career tied up.

Tavoris Cloud was offered a televised slot on the Dawson-Tarver II rematch on HBO where he would have fought Glen Johnson for a career high payday and faced Dawson in his next fight for another career high payday with the only stipulation that he not enforce his mandatory and get Dawson stripped.

He declined, enforced his mandatory, and got Dawson stripped. Instead, he fought Woods on an FNF undercard for less money.

Now, he's fighting Glen Johnson almost 2 years later... His career is now 2 years and hundreds of thousands (possibly millions) of dollars behind where it could have been. But hey... at least he has a title and dopes saying Dawson's ducking him.
Dawson had the option of fighting Cloud because Cloud was Dawson's mandatory and then he coulda got the Tarver rematch out of the way. And Cloud didn't turn down Johnson to fight Woods. He just turned down the slot on HBO because Shaw would've dictated his opponent to him and it wouldn't have been a title fight. Cloud wanted Dawson on HBO or nothing and rightfully so.

Tarver exercised an immediate rematch clause, so no, he couldn't have fought any mandatory in the mean time. Dan Rafael detailed and criticized Cloud for the dumb decision.

He rejected 2 HBO dates (career high paydays) against Johnson and Dawson, so he could fight the next highest ranked fighter in the IBF ratings (Woods) on FNF.

His career is now 2 years behind where it could have been. Keep your Dawson ducking Cloud fantasy.

The IBF gave Dawson the option of either fighting Cloud or Tarver provided if he fought Cloud first he had to rematch Tarver right there after and he fought Tarver immediately when he didn't have to. And how did Cloud turn down Johnson on that November date when Dawson was already set up to fight him? Doesn't make sense. I know HBO wanted Dawson to fight Johnson again and everything. But after tonight, I don't want to hear any excuses of why Dawson shouldn't fight Cloud if he wins impressively tonight.

Shumenov isn't good enough to beat Dawson, he doesn't have the talent or the skill. Other than a punchers chance he has nothing else in a fight with him.

Cloud on the other hand, I have to see about because really we don't know much about him and what he is really all about but it is a better match for Shumenov having a guy who is more hittable in front of him.

Shumenov - Cloud would be a good battle. Two guys that actually like to let their hands go in combinations.

Shumenov has the will to get in close and make Dawson fight an inside fight, but he'll get badly punished for it all night long.

If either of these fights get made and Shumenov wins, I'm predicting one hell of a wagon hop by people here on BS.
