Anyways...Pac couldve retired great after knocking out Ricky in TWO....
im just talking about all the negative knee jerk reactions to the cotto & margarito catchweights.

how much of a advantage is pac really getting when we have 24 hour rehydration policy in boxing?

there is an advantage when you have to cut xtra weight.....

but it was Cotto at 145 who weighed 146 in his previous fight.

Its Margo now who was a welter for ten years who has to make 150...not a big deal..

Floyd and JMM at 144 FOR THE SAME REASON..Floyd didnt flip out and say its not fair to fight at a catch weight. What he did do though was not cut the weight so he would have the advantage but what makes it messed up is that JMM had never even fought above 135....

in the amateurs fighting 4rd fights with headgear on with other 16yr olds. Pacquiao was fighting full grown men with no previous technical experience while maintaining a fulltime dayjob to support his family.

And i didnt even add the fact that Pacquiao actually weighed less than 96lbs at the time and had to put 10lbs of metal in his pockets at the weighins just to be eligible to compete.
