The 24 rehydration Rule makes Pacquiao's accomplishments GREATER & criticisms UNFAIR

It really does. For a fighter starting at 106lbs, a former flyweight champion, now fighting welterweights, it makes it all the more impressive the fact that the 24 hour rehydration rule means that on fight night, pac (who is not even a welterweight) is fighting junior middleweights & middleweights.

How much can we really hold it against him the 145lb catchweight & proposed 150lb catchweight vs cotto & margarito when the 24 rehydration stunt in today's era is in effect?

How do we analyze the 24 re hydration rule in historical context?

Old time fighters never had to deal with it. But in regards to pacquiao, who in 3 welterweight fights cant even make 147, how can we really criticize him when on fight night he's not even facing welterweights?

Lets keep it ****ing real & stop swindling & start snitching.

exactly people forget that Margarito will not be weighing 150 pounds come fight night. Hell pac will be lucky if he weighs 150 pounds on fight night but oh he's cheating history. ***ing morons!!

i dont like catchweights, but the 24 rehydration rule really makes it a moot point if really analyzed thoroughly.

How does rehydration make Pacquiao greater? When he was fighting at the lighter weights Pacquiao was rehydrating more than almost anyone else. He would weigh in as a featherweight and then come to the fight weighing in the 140's. That is why it was so easy for him to move up in weight, all he had to do was not dehydrate himself before the fight. Moving around between different weight classes was much more difficult when fighters had to weigh in on the day of the fight.

People just want something or someone to hate. People are acting like Margarito is career Junior Middleweight who is only now having to drain to 150. He's a huge Welterweight, but not a natural 154 pounder. This isn't Fernando Vargas we are talking about.

Margarito has fought at 154 about a handful of times and he'll always be known as a Welterweight.
