this thread was in regards to the criticism of the catchweight used in the cotto & margarito fights. how much should we really take away from the victory when he's still weighing in at welter while clottey, cotto, & margarito are 154 & 160 pounders.

    read, analyze, & understand burns.
    ouch!.... WOR SWINDLER!!

How much can we really hold it against him the 145lb catchweight & proposed 150lb catchweight vs cotto & margarito when the 24 rehydration stunt in today's era is in effect?

How do we analyze the 24 re hydration rule in historical context?
Old time fighters never had to deal with it. But in regards to pacquiao, who in 3 welterweight fights cant even make 147, how can we really criticize him when on fight night he's not even facing welterweights?

Lets keep it ****ing real & stop swindling & start snitching.
If he can't make the 147 pound weight limit as you indicated, he should have stay at 140 and shouldn't be fighting at 147. Also, your argument makes no sense because there was a weight limit stipulation in the Cotto contract that said Cotto would have to enter the ring at a certain weight or risk a heavy fine. That is still a catchweight. So Cotto couldn't gain 15 pounds overnight and enter the ring as a middleweight without losing a ton of money. I am sure the same stipulation will be in the Margarito contract.

i know, floyd made 20 million fighting the big show for night & has a 100 million dollar fight deal with don king just like pac's rehydration clauses vs cotto & clottey.....

We always hear that rehydration clause from NSB experts but we still don't have a number. What is that weight limit?

TS. It is not really the fight that bothers me but the belt. The Orgs are just corrupt and Pac should be saying **** em CW so it does not lessen his accomplishments. Anyhow, IMO, the 147-150 is a better Marg that 154. He would be even more sluggish if he weigh in an 154.

pac started at 106. was a former flyweight titlist. floyd started at 130. he's been a welterweight since 2005. pac was going to war vs marquez at 130 as recently as 2008.

floyd is bigger than pac. he's thicker, longer reach, taller, & overall bigger than pac.

                      in my opinion no.
