I am a fan of Paul's because he has an entertaining style and the fans get their moneys worth with him but with his style if he doesn't change something up soon, yes he is a highlight reel ko loss waiting to happen.

PWill should try and fight more like Vitali by leaning back a bit since like VK he has a height and reach advantage over just about every opponent he fights.

Yeah, but a couple of years ago he was fighting guys much smaller than Martinez.

In case you say Margarito, I think Martinez is a lot bigger than Margarito... not height wise a lot thicker and more muscle than Marg.

He's also a **** ton more slicker, and he loads up on his punches more.. not too mention the speed advantage.

Paul wants to fight at 147 because the two largest grossing fighters in the entire sport fight there...

Slick southpaws who he OBVIOUSLY has a problem with... fighting one after another is careful matchmaking?

      It's TERRIBLE matchmaking.

Quintana twice, Winky, Sergio possible twice now?

Yet he still prevails against the one style he does horribly against.

      Careful matchmaking? wtf.

And uh NO... he wasn't on his way to being KOed against Cintron.

It's not like you are seeing Williams getting battered around the ring like Cotto against Pacquiao.

The Sergio fight was rough, Sergio was hitting him with clean counters.

The Quintana fight, he got hit with some flush shots... but there were more clean than they were powerful.. nothing that bothered him just punches that had him out of rythem for the fight... and against Margarito, well that was just a good hard fought fight where he refused to lose.

I mean I see what you're saying.. but this guy isn't taking punishment like Cotto has taken in his career or someone like Gatti... he's taken his shots, but he isn't being ruined.

Like I said I hope I'm wrong about that.
      I don't think he's losing punch resistance.

That punch Sergio caught Williams with was picture perfect.

Great counterpunch at an odd angle.

I don't feel that is evidence enough for me that he is losing punch resistance.

He did not get hurt BADLY against Cintron.. and he got a flash knockdown against Sergio.

      I've seen BADLY hurt fighters.

He wasn't BADLY hurt against either.

People overlook the fact that Williams has excellent head movement.

All he does is move his head the entire time.

He just happened to be fighting Sergio Martinez, one of the best fighters in the game right now...

its undeniable that he fought some excellent competition and fared very well. I still think he is showing some wear

Paul Williams is a hell of a fighter but i hear u, u just sense he is headed for a KO! Still with his frame and his talet he can turn his style around and Box, taking away some of the added danger fighting his current style brings while remaining succesfull

i havent really thought about it myself til u mentioned it but his punch resistance might very well be going down. i mean the guy has taken alot of shots considering the amount of big fights hes had. hes certainly a KO waiting to happen if he ever fights a big puncher, i always though that and thats why its so strange pavlik ducked him. hopefully he will start improving his technical skills and learn how to use his reach and box. if he does he will be a terror, the ability to blast, outhustle or outbox his oponents added all those physical gifts he has. if he doesnt improve he will get knocked out once he starts fighting more punchers, chin declining or not.

i hope he improves cuz i really like the guy. willing to fight anyone, always comes to fight and seems like a cool dude in person.

Pavlik or Martinex at 160...both can do it. All tho Pavlik is more of a would've since Martinez finished what Bhop started...Destroy his confidence
