This exactly. As much as I appreciate what Cotto has done Prime Oscar does everything cotto does and btter, better speed, better power, better boxing ability, better jab, prime Oscar posseses one of the fastest counter left hooks i have ever seen, i see oscar outboxing Cotto the the stoppage by 6th RD TKO. Kenny Bayless enjoys his loud count the the 8 and waves it off imo.

I agree, but it would be interesting to see if he could've taken one of Cotto's body shots, you saw what Hopkins did to him & Hopkins barely touched him lol

Prime Oscar wouldnt knock out prime Cotto. Mosley was a bigger puncher than Oscar and Cotto neutralize his power and his pressure. Oscar may win this one but no knock out though. it would be 7 to 5 in favor of Oscar

When Cotto is being pushed back he does not go to the body as much.Oscar would have pushed him back....

Sorry your wrong here.Mosley was not a bigger puncher then oscar at 147lb.Oscar was one of the hardest punchers when he was at 147lb and even when they fought the first time it was said Hoya was the bigger puncher.I could see the ref stopping a fight between these two or it going to the cards but I always see oscar coming out on top....

I'm in utter disbelief that so many people are picking Oscar to win this. The guy never won a big fight in his life, its that simple. Tito, Mosley, Mayweather, Hopkins, Pacquiao. People are talking about DLH jab to be the ****, as if Cotto's isn't. Also, if I remember correctly DLH couldn't outbox Mosley and Oscar was in his prime then but Cotto was able to against the same guy. Not to mention Oscar wasn't really a boxer, he liked to fight just like Cotto does as well though. I'm really not sure who would win but... I'm going with Cotto, simply because he beat Mosley and DLH couldn't.

Good thread...prime DLH vs prime Cotto...2 of my favourite all time boxers. I would have to favour DLH, though not by knockout. Too much skill for Cotto to handle.

Mayorga beat Forrest, who beat Mosley, who beat DLH, who beat Mayorga.

DLH took Mosley to school and was robbed. The same fight in which Mosley was on roids.

Cotto didn't fight the same Mosley that fought DLH.

DLH wasn't a boxer? He fought when he needed to, but boxed for the most part.

De La Hoya by lopsided decision. Too much of pretty much everything for Cotto to handle. I wouldn't even be surprised if the DLH that Floyd fought beat a prime Cotto, so a prime DLH is too much for him. Too much speed, power, movement, etc. He could do everything Cotto could and better. I even remember Freddie Roach saying that a prime De La Hoya would beat Pacquiao (he compared Pacquiao-DLH to DLH-Chavez).
