But honestly though, Life isn't about material possession, sure its nice having a lot of money or being financially stable. However in my opinion being remembered for the things you did and thought about in a good way is far better than being rich.
My family has always suffered through financial problems so I've seen first hand what a lack of money can do, what it feels like to go hungry because you have younger siblings that need fed, however I don't box to make myself money, I box because I want to be remembered for the amazing fights I had, the people I faced and the challenges I overcame. Not how much money I had in my bank account.
Look at Ali, look at Louis, when I think of them I remember them as great fighters and good men in the spotlight, They entertained, they overcame and they cemented their legacy and are remembered for it. Not how much money they made or lost.
Boxing is a job, of course and the point of a job is to make money; yes. However boxing is not a regular job, Boxing is a job where you can go out and make a name for yourself, a name you've created, a name you fashioned to your liking. Boxing is a job where you can be remembered or forgotten.

If youve made 4 million+ dollars, then you should be set for life, unless youre an idiot with your money.
Thats why people that win the lottery almost always end up dead broke and in debt years later. Its not how much you make, but how you spend it.
As long as a fighter is financially secure, I dont give a damn about how much money he makes. Hell, it might be better if wasnt so rich, then he wouldnt be tempted to blow his cash so fast and end up with the IRS knocking on his door years later.
The average US salary is 40,000 dollars a year(or around there), last time I checked.
Im not suggesting that I sit down and do mathematical calculations every time I see a guy fight, but if the guy is obviously making much more than that, why in the blazes should I care about what hes making?
