    not really.

the lakers fans started turning on him after the "i got hurt on company time" crap when he chose to get surgery during the season instead of the offseason.

plus he was always out of shape.

when he insulted the jerry buss a lot of people didn't like it. jerry buss is beloved in l.a.

players come and go but the lakers owner has been there for all but one of their titles.

i've been a big laker fan since forever and i never really liked the guy even when he was winning titles in l.a.

      What a dumb comparison.

Yao Ming is the best 7 foot plus shooter in the league bar Dirk Nowitski. Close to averaging double-doubles, high FG%, FT%, gets his share of blocks and takes his team to the playoffs when he's healthy. So much for only height and reach...

Williams doesn't even use it as he should, gives up his height and reach and fights like a Mexican.

It's hard for such a big guy, who eats like that to stay in shape if his off court activities revolve around chasing tail.

I'm a laker fan for life but Shaq was right on this one. Jerry promised himthe 3 yr $88.7 mil extension if he brought in Malone and Payton. He did and Jerry reneged on the deal. Thats why shaq cursed him at the preseason game. Did you see it?

he yelled loud as hell give me my ****ing extension *****.

There was atime in LA where fans were pissed at Kobe for demanding a trade. Too bad Chicago wanted to keep the guy from Darfur Sudan.

                  means nothing to me.

i only care about what they do on the court or how they prepare themselves off the court.

don't care who is more cool , more fun in interviews , more popular , etc.

all i know is kobe jacked up his knee and was expected to be out for months but played in only a few weeks and hobbled around the court because shaq was gonna be out for months because his toe hurts.

from that time on , as a laker fan , i knew who was gonna be more important to the team.

                      pissed wasn't the word.

                      it was scared.

                      i'm from l.a.

trust me when that story broke , the whole office was quiet that day.

the branch manager called me into his office to talk about it.

when shaq was leaving , people were disappointed.

when kobe asked to be traded , people were ****ting bricks.
