They shouldve went after Sylvester or Sturm. More so Slyvester.
They would not get away with paying these guys 50k, plus the fight would be in Germany

Well not exactly, he really was poorly prepared for that fight, if they at least knew what type of a fighter pirog is they would have better chances at getting a decision

mw is a great place to make these matchups right now by the way. a lot of dudes coming up that can fight.
Middleweight has become a hotbed of talent now with Martinez, Williams, Pirog in the mix.. along with the already talented stal*****.

I love Martinez, but I think Williams can rule the division if he stuck at 160 and didn't bounce around.

Money and press wise, it makes sense that he can challenge anyone from 147-168.

I mean I like the kid but he was not a world beater, plus he was untested. Maybe GB thought they had done enough for Jacobs aleady and their investment wasn't paying back so they fed him to a hungry lion like Pirog? From the moment this fight was announced everyone knew including me that Jacobs was in for a rude awakening and it proved to be true.

Golden Boy are like a family business, someone whos related to someone is working there, thats why they can't make a star yet.

They have no skills in terms of nurturing talent.

I hate Bob Arum, but at least he can guide careers, Ortiz would've been better suited staying at Top Rank.

I don't Pirog beating Jacobs was an upset. When GBP prospects lose fighting solid competition, they're bad match makers. But when Top Rank prospects win fighting half ass competition, then they're on their way to being the best...

Golovkin-Nunez is on 14th. 17 fights are on that card.

I like that french kid N'Jikam too.

MW is stacked with top European fighters, they're taking over.

MW has more skilled boxers from Europe than HW IMO.
