Larry is a hater, Hop was right he didnt want to lose his belt so he had to fight, he is not to blame. On the flip side though I remeber this fight Hopkins should have KO'd dude this fight was a sleep fest.

God dayuuuuum. That's the first time I've seen that vid. Larry got way out of line there, and I thought it was funny though. Merchant showed balls of steel by getting all nasty against Hopkins like that. Was this after Hopkins destroyed DLH?

hopkins owned him pretty good there. Like hopkins said he just fought his mandatory or he would have been stripped. What was he supposed to do? It took a long time and a lot of hard work before hopkins got any big names. Fighting mandatories and unifying belts should be praised, not hated on. It's not hopkins fault he made the guy look like trash.

The line at the end was great, larry said well it looks like you got paid for not doing much of anything, hopkins said right back, "well larry you get paid every day for not doing much of anything" haha he's right about that. One guy steps in the ring and FIGHTS, the other guy talks about those said fighters.

As for the fight, MORRADE HAKKAR was the #1 challenger and Hopkins had to fight him. Hakkar landed a total of 39 punches in 8 rounds by the time he got stopped.

He never fought in the US again he moved back to France where he came from. His fight prior to bhop he won some European middleweight title, I don't know why the **** WBC made him #1 but that's the WBC for you.
