Comments Thread For: Arum: Miguel Cotto Clash Depends on Chavez-Wolak Result

The opponent for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been switched again. Carlos Nascimento of Brazil is out, and Pawel Wolak of New Jersey is back in. Wolak was the orginal choice to face Chavez in a twelve round middleweight bout on September 11 in Mexico. The fight fell through when the two sides could not agree on the money. Wolak wanted $90,000 for the bout and Top Rank was only offering $75,000 max. [Click Here To Read More]

Cotto made Arum stinking rich...why is his feelings so hurt lately? First it was the blatant favortism of Foreman...you could see the fake ass smug smile he gave Cotto after the dominant win. You could tell he really wanted Foreman to end Cotto on the big stage and now its Chavez who gets to build his name off of Cotto?

I can't be the only one that sees what Arum is doing...he is just beggin for Cotto to lose to his rising star and when Cotto leaves, its not big deal because he got what he needed off of him. Its time Cotto steps in and puts an end to this...based on the Foreman fight which like more than half the press and fans picked Cotto to lose that the fire still runs deep in him and his pride wants him to get back in with Pac...but Cotto has to see the pattern here

Vanes? Chavez Jr.? Who's next after Chavez? C'Mon Miguel...free yourself...become a free-agent, just don't sign with Don King...cause he makes Arum look like Jesus

A Cotto-Berto bout would be a lot more interesting.

indeed. Why arum dont match Martirosyan against Chavez jr. and then the winner gets Cotto?

Cotto should be fighting Spinks, Martinez or Berto next

arum is a ****in ****!!! he will tell us cotto-chavez would be huge while cotto vs matrinez would not seel good or w.e. bull**** comes 2 his mind. thats who i want cotto 2 fight. berto is cool but if cotto beats him he wont much credit for it. people find ways 2 down grade the win by saying things like berto was overrated. sergio is hot right about now and i like cottos chances against him. only if he was toprank, this fight would have probably been made.

One of the absolute truths in boxing right now is that Arum really does keep it in-house.
