Shane and Cotto land the same amount of punches!

Cotto may have been going backwards, but like the HBO guys were saying he was the one landing the shots, not the other way. If being the aggressor was all it took to win Floyd would be 0-41, not the other way around.
This comment is bullsh-t. Shane and Cotto landed the same about punches. Cotto landed more jabs, Shane landed more powershots. So the HBO guys were not saying exactly what was really going on in that fight. Look at the punch stats. That fight should have been scored at the very least a draw. Because it was in New York with a Puerto Rican crowd, Shane was robbed! I saw it 7-5 Shane. Either way it was a tough close fight and a rematch could be justified even with Shanes lost to Mayweather.

Mosley is not overrated. He is a proven veteran who just happens to be out of his prime but still capable of competing against any fighter any age from 147-160. Thats a testament to his skill and work ethic to be 38/39 and still able to compete at a high level. Cotto got a gift decision against Shane. If that fight was in California, Shane would have got the decision. Mayweather was lucky to have fought Shane at this stage of Shanes career, along with coming off a 16 month layoff. Shane was rusty but still almost got the knockout victory in the 2nd round. The only round people will remember in that fight. Shane beat the **** out of Margarito fair and square. The lucky thing is that Richardson caught the illegall pads in Margaritos hand wraps. Shane was lucky for that because that fight could have been the end of his career had he fought Margarito with loaded handwraps. Berto hasnt done anything to deserve a shot against Mosley. Berto needs to give Collazo a rematch in a fight that he deservedly lost the first time. Shane is a legend. Berto has a long way to go. He has never even fought on Pay Per view.

I have read the stats they actually landed the same amount of punches, yes. However, Cotto did it by throwing 99 less punches for a total of 5% better accuracy. Cotto also threw 130 LESS jabs, yet landed almost 30 more in the fight and Cotto's might as well be a power punch. The only stat that mosley won was in power punching and even then he only landed 27 more of them. There really isn't a need for me to type the stats as boxing is scored round by round, but its worth noting that Cotto was a lot more EFFICIENT. And, you can have a close fight, but a fight that is simply a 7-5 fight. It was close, but it was a clear call who won, I'm done arguing a fight from however long ago, but just because I love making people look dumb, just hit play, and start watching at 2:20.

Mosley might not even get by Sergio Mora. Mosley couldnt beat Cotto 3 Years ago or tomorrow, so who is he to say ****?

I'm sure it has something to do with the fact Bob Arum ALWAYS does it no matter how ridiculous and unecessary it is. Pacquiao - Margarito sounds terrible. And so did Pacquiao - Clottey. Mosley - Williams sounds fun

I think Berto is a viable opponent for Mosley...or atleast would have been - And a 60-40 split seems justifiable since Mosley is the bigger draw to the mainstream audience, but suggesting Berto beat Cotto, prior to reconsidering the fight, is actually unrealistic since Arum denied Berto as an opponent long ago, right? On top of that, why suggest Berto beat someone Mosley had lost to? In any case, interesting fight, I wouldn't mind seeing it, either against Mosley or Mora.
