You hit the bullseye with this one. A poor excuse for a PPV fight. The only drama is whether Baldomir goes the distance or not, just like it was with Juarez and Casamayor on GBP's last overrated PPV.

Wish Baldo would stay retired rather than become a stepping stone for young fighters. Dude is 39 and looked bloated in his last fight last year as a middleweight. He was a great story a few years back when he beat Zab and Gatti, but he's way past it and he never was much of a puncher. He will give Alvarez some decent rounds but take a lot of abuse along the way.

Why does he have to test himself anymore than that? He's 20 ***ing years old!!!

So... Baldomir's power doesn't compare to Bailey's, let alone the fact that he's faster too.

Baldomir is still a serviceable opponent for a prospect at the level of an Alvarez. Alvarez should win comfortably. What I'm basically saying is that it's better to nurture this kid and get criticized for that now, then rush him and get him knocked out against an opponent he isn't ready for later.

Damn, I forgot this was going to be on PPV. They should just keep these kids off of televised PPV cards until they're ready to go for a title.

I don't know why these ****** ass promoters think putting a prospect in against over-matched opponents on PPV undercards is good promotion. This bull**** is not good promotion, I don't care what stage you're on.

The current biggest attractions in the sport weren't ****ing built into the biggest money makers like this. Those **** faces continue insisting on this ****. People don't remember you from some garbage ass fight.

well look what baldomir did for fraud jr's career!! lmao. whats up with the haters on here , u guys knocking this 19 year old kid for being on ppv cuz theyre bringin him along slowly, but u pay to see manny fight cotto, clottey, and now margs for some even more fake ass belts and titles!????? what gives?? its ok for this guy but not that guy??? blow it out yer asses haters.manny has been number 1 pnd for pnd but im still waiting to see him fight someone on his level or even dangerous , double goes for fraud jr.if manny was all that hed be moving to 154 with no catchweight and face a legit threat like martinez ,angulo, or williams. or even cintron for chrissakes, but no we get the weakest discredited shot ass fighter they can find margarito. then after he beats margs he'll be foty again, ugghhhhh, its disgusting.and the other so called greatest that ever lived is working on the 3rd year of his vacation. to me these two clowns are soo big and overhyped they actually in the long run hurt boxing, because we get more ***** ass dramas than actual fights.

Yeah, I have no problem with Baldomir as an opponent for Canelo. But don't pad a PPV card with it and sell it as "a major test" for the kid. This fight belongs on Showbox.
