Of course you can burn muscle! Many people who go to the gym and don't know what they're doing burn muscle by doing too much cardio and not doing any weight training. You can also burn muscle by not consuming the proper amounts of protein after weight training.
It's becoming pretty obvious who goes to the gym here and who doesn't.

If you think Manny is more comfortable under 140 I doubt you are really a Pac fan. It's documented how hard Manny had to work to make weight in the Lower divisions. I think he would be as comfortable as cotto at 147 when at 140 though.
