You know what makes me laugh though, that die hard British Boxing fans like you hate on Frank Warren, yet he is prolly the reason Britain has been able to nurture so much talent through cherry picking faded legends and feeding his fighters stiffs, id of thought you guys would be reping him, not chastising him?
Why would I rep Frank Warren? I don't enjoy the fact that British fighters (and most other countries fighters) fight weak opposition for their first 20 fights or so. But that's the way it works, and I can't do anything about it. Thus, I'm going to support my favourite boxers no matter who they fight. Because Britain is a small nation, and any level of success is an achievement. But I still want to see British boxers fight the most dangerous opposition possible. I'm not enjoying Amir Khan's new American promoters putting him in easy fights.

PS - Another reason why British fighters don't fight top opposition early in their careers is that top fighters aren't willing to take a smaller purse to fight them. Aside from Amir Khan and David Haye, there isn't a lot of money in British boxing, and very little tv exposure. How is a British fighter expected to climb the world rankings if a top competitor won't fight for £10,000? Thus, a lot of British fighters are forced to fight duds, and older opponents to generate an undefeated padded record which looks attractive to the tv networks. The only problem with that is, when they finally step up in competition they are usually exposed.

You should rep him because the way he manages them improves them greatly, they get on the job training and are able to maintain a good level of confidence, thus, producing more British champs.

Well if its early in your career, why would a top fighter entertain taking a lesser pay day?

There has always been good money for British fighters, Hatton, Khan, Haye have a big fan bases, so much so, that Khan is able to go to American and maintain being protected and cherry pick fights against the likes of JMM, Haye is able to negotiate a 50/50 split with the real percieved HW champ, despite beating no live HW's to date, now the reason they have such a big fan base is because you can sell anything to underachieving Brit fans starved of success.

            Dynamite your not English?

Also who exactly has Alexander faced?

beaten by Bradley and old Witter, Urango, Shot to **** Corley

He is 23 around 20 fights or so and is not really more advanced in terms of opposition in comparison to Khan no matter what people would have you believe.

I do hope the next crop of British fighters hire some very good trainers, joining Roach has done wonders for Khan. Sure Roach protects his fighters somewhat you just need to see the type of fighters Pac has been fighting for the last 6-7 fight to see that.

There is no question a British prospect tends to be protected building a padded record on the way up. More so than American fighters. Is this really easier? In the long run the cherry picking and protecting means the fighter will never fully develop and will be vulnerable when put in at the top level. This is the downside of having an easy run to titles and the easy route really is no preparation for top level and if you look at it that way is not the easy route.
