I think this fight makes alot of sense...Margarito beat clottey and cotto in the same way Pacquiao did...plus Margs has a similar style to Marquez...only difference is he's bigger and has better reflexes at this stage of his Career...He's going to give the Pacman hell...Margs has a chin and don't forget that as Mosley was whaling on him Margs smiled about it...I think he was thinking "Oh **** I might go to jail" through out that whole night...I must say we gotta give him the benefit of the doubt about the plaster issue...I'm staying neutral about it...

The man who was running through WWs 2 years ago with an added 2lbs may be a tough fight fight for Manny, but in no way should Margarito be compared to JMM skill wise. I think he'll give Manny a tougher fight at 150 than JMM would above 135 though.

Margarito's footwork is slow and not good enough to keep up with Pacquiao.

JMM has better footwork and didn't have to worry too much about his foot speed because he didn't have to track Pacquiao down like Margarito will. Why? Because he can counter punch at a high level something Margarito can't do at the level he'd have to against Pacquiao.

His best hope is to take the approach Morales did, but his punches aren't as sharp and he's slower with worse defense.

Margarito will get destroyed and there's no getting around it. The only thing he has going for him is a long right hand and great stamina, that's it and some pop. Pacquiao's gonna put that straight left in the pit of his stomach until he's slowed down, then brutalize his face.

styles might favor pacquiao but there is more to it than styles.

pacquiao is a puncher and they usually eat up pressure fighters but this is not as simple as that.

when was the last time you saw pacquiao up against a guy like margarito?

size does matter. toughness does matter. strength does matter.

unless marg is shot pacquiao will have a tough time.
