If ANYONE here finds a boxing match BORING you shouldnt be called a boxing fan

You're sporting an avatar of Lennox Lewis - a guy who's heard it all about being boring boxer without a killer instinct. I suppose everybody is boring if you have Mike Tyson in your division.

And??? Lennox is a fighter I've always enjoyed watching, for reasons I'll not go into here because they're irrelevant to the thread. The difference between me and the TS is that I'm not going to get all arsey on people who dislike him, and say they aren't real boxing fans (whatever the hell that even means). It's the pompous attitude of people like that I detest, not the fighters they support, understand?

You didn't offend me in any way with your response, I guess that I didn't ponder the question fully before submitting my response. I see your point about my original response and you were right on target. I agree with you 100%, people should get their monies worth when they pay to watch a fight.

I can find some fights boring, if nothing much happens or both guys are gassed and not throwing, etc. I don't tend to find one sided beatdowns boring, in fact I find them entertaining, especially if it is a skillful one sided beating. Punches thrown doeesn't = exciting for me either as Pacquiao vs Clottey is an example of a fight where a guy threw loads of punches in an unentertaining fight.

I like technical boxing more than brawling, but who doesn't love a good brawl from time to time as long as the punches aren't too sloppily thrown I love it! But if its some gassed out guys throwing the widest punches you ever seen like in The ultimate fighter series sometimes then no thanks!

If you can't call a fight boring then you shouldn't be able to call a fight exciting. Some fights are exciting because they have certain traits, when those traits are not present, it's natural that those fights would be seen as boring.

If two individuals stepped in the ring, and threw 0 punches, you'd be an idiot to not call the fight a bore.

I also enjoy seeing one sided fights where a dude is getting pounded merciously. As long as there is lots of punching going on I am satisfied. Love seeing a man in the ropes defenseless or just standing there getting his butt owned.
