This is what it comes down to. If you box like that, don't expect the big fights and big money or to be a big attraction. That's all. It is fans who pay for that ****, so they obviously have a big right to enjoy what they are paying for and expect something good.

Anyone that doesn't understand this is very, very thick.

I agree to a certain extent. You can say the same thing about every sport. I'll use football for an example. You'll have casual fans and you'll have diehard fans. Casual fans only watch big games or games with two exciting offensive teams. They want to see 50 yard touchdown passes or long run backs. Then you have die hard fans who will watch and follow everygame throughout the season. Boxing is the same way. We have fans who will only watch big fights or exciting fighters. Usually they want only want to see knockouts or brawls or its considered a boring fight. Then we have our die hard fans who watch every fight regardless of who is fighting and regardless of what kind of style just because they love boxing.

Now I love boxing. I tend to watch most fights. I appreciate all styles of boxing. I love brawlers for their heart. Defensive counter punchers for their skill and intellect. And high volume punchers for their conditioning.

not necessarily, Mayweather PPV numbers would prove that to be WRONG

but then again Mayweather has Charisma, he has master the art of selling the fight outside of the ring, he will basically piss you of to the point that you have to order the fight because you want to see him lose, then after watching a one sided boxing clinic people come and complain about how boring he is

I am probably one of the worst boxers out there so I wouldn't complain about any fight being boring. I have subjected many of fans to fights that weren't quite up to what they expected. I don't think fans should complain about boring fights, how would they do if they were in the ring?, think about it!.

and some people here will put distinction to boxingfans from casual fans.boxingfans are the one who watch more boxing, put emphasis on techniques, has more boxing IQ bla bla bla, casual only love KOs, toe to toe, and mindless slugfest. but aren't those boxing still?u cant just push them to watch MMA because they don't look at the things you're looking. boxing can't survive without them casual fans as you label them.they may not be as smart as u in terms of analysing every move a boxer they made but they're still boxing fans just like you.

This is just another roundabout way of saying, "Don't criticise if you can't do any better" which is, has been, and always will be an infantile piece of reasoning. If you pay for a specific product (in this case an entertaining boxing match) then you have every right to criticise it if it doesn't come up to scratch. It doesn't matter if you yourself couldn't do any better, that's why you're paying others to do it. If I hire a professional to decorate my house I'm doing so because I lack the time or skills to do it myself, and I fully expect them to do a better job than I could do in their place. Get it?

Saying that, people need to be more discriminating in how they spend their money. I have no sympathy for anyone that paid to see Jones Hopkins II for example. Likewise, anyone that pays for a Mayweather fight expecting an all-action slugfest of Corrales/Castillo proportions gets what they deserve.

There's another group of boxing fans that only interested in PPVs and Negos only. They are not interested in the fight at all. They get more excited watching the fighter throwing fake money than him fighting.
