To prove my point about the KO thing, what does Hagler had to do to win ? Hagler hated decisions cause he lost some fights that he should have won !
He would've beat Jacobs on the score cards anyway.

Even though they had Jacobs up at the time of the stoppage.

It is possible as Martinez does throw from weird angles. It'd be a great, technical fight- one that I wouldn't mind seeing if it comes about.

I really do hope it happens now, I'm getting pumped just thinking about it.

The cool thing about both of these guys is that they are both technically great, but they're wired to fight.

My favorite kind of fighters. Best of both worlds.

He'd ice Martinez? Doubt that. Don't get carried away by the KO last night, he's really not a power puncher. I watched several of his recent fights against lesser competition and I don't recall even seeing one guy really hurt from a headshot. He's more of accumulation type of fighter but I think Martinez would be able to neutralize a lot of his workrate.

It was a good win last night, he fought better then I was expecting. I didn't think his defense would be as effective against someone with the offensive ability as Jacobs though he was still able to land some solid shots. However, Jacobs is a guy who had defensive liabilities and has shown he doesn't really handle pressure well and Pirog did a good job in exploiting these weaknesses.

Martinez is a proven world-class fighter and I can't say I'm totally sold on Pirog yet but if he were to give Martinez hell or even win then then I'd be a lot more sold at that point.

Pirog is not ready for Martinez yet that fight can wait the fight that should be made is Martinez vs Angulo if PWill fights at welterweight then bring on Angulo vs Martinez

Still give the edge to Martinez in this one. I wouldn't mind seeing Pirog get a bigger name in his next fight but stopping Jacobs don't convince me he won't get beat by Sergio. Still wondering why the hell Williams don't just rematch Martinez already.

Pirog would get Ko'd. He'd walk into too many looping hooks.

Back to chasing one dimensional Angulo brawlers?
