Oh, Tino - wasn't it weird hearing the crowd on Hopkins's side? I thought my ears were playing tricks on me at first.

the crowd had hopkins winning , the press had hopkins winning , only 70 yers old judges and biased HBO crew had taylor winning .

he is still the champ IMO but BOTH guys gave me a great boxing time .

and yeah i thought my french ears were trickin me at first too .

Agree but...... but I think Hopkins had that same strategy against DLH by letting him win the first couple of rounds.

True, but there's a difference between 1-2 rounds and 7-8 rounds. People shouldn't say that Hopkins executed his game plan perfectly is all that I'm saying.

okay, I didnt see it, and therefore HATE to comment on it, but the peeps at ring side had taylor winning all but the 9,10 and 11..I think one of them had taylor wining the 12. You cant win a fight just by stealing the championship rds. No matter how impressive you look doing it, those scores are added up after each rd. so unless theres some 'tricky' arithmatic going on at the end, you'd still have taylor winning. DAMN, I've gotta see this and score it for myself. How about Vernon?? How did he do?? Jesus Christ..nothing worse than being out of the loop!

well, you'd think with as many freaking copies I've sent to so many peeps I could score here! I can get it next Sat. on the replay, but they probably wont show the Forrest fight, and watching his return was of major importance to me damnit!

well I'll be the first to admit that I'm the last person to debate it..but like I said, according to ESPNews (no, they aint gospel) the only reason it wasnt a draw was cause one of the judges gave the 12th to taylor??? Unless I misunderstood.

It doesn't sound like Taylor took the titles from Hopkins...its sounds like he was given them. When you think of these scenenarios in your head, you always picture the young fighter destroying the old champ to become the new king. Its sounds to me like Taylor wasn't making Hopkins old, Hopkins just started slow. B-hop at 40 started to come on late!!And the 26 year old was the one getting beaten up!!! Its just doesn't sound right! Hey Tracy, I didn't see it either I am just going on what I read too...LOL

yeah, it sucks doesnt it?? anyway, to me theres a big difference in getting started late, and not doing anything for 8 rds! I will wait to see it before I say anything more though cause I feel ****** debating a fight I've yet to see. I will say that what you said about his belts being given to taylor instead of taylor winning them is EXACTLY the same thing I said about Jones after the first fight with tarver...EXACTLY!! And somethign about you have to 'take' those belts, etc. I still remember catching seven shades of pure hell for that point of view too Ahhhh, the golden days!

The thing is that from my point of view Taylor was dancing circles around Hopkins and did more than enough to earn his victory. It's only the last few rounds that made things os screwy, and that I attribute to Taylor's inexperience. If it wasn't for rounds 8-12 I would say that the rematch was unwarranted.

Maybe I have to watch the fight again. But from what I remember Taylor was dancing and jabbing and Hopkins looked almost as slow and old as Gatti did against Mayweather. Even if Taylor didn't land all his shots, Hopkins barely even through a punch...and this is all coming from a big Hopkins fan, by the way.

what I want to know is how it can even be termed a 'robbery' (a robbery is DLH-Sturm) when even the b-hop fans say that taylor won all of the first 7-8 rds?? Hell, if thats true, then it wasnt even close, let alone a robbery!
