The Abraham and Froch fight will not have much skill-they are both hard hitters with decent chins-the difference is defense. One guy is going to get hit cleaner-that will be Froch.

The only 2 guys who can beat Abraham are Ward and Dirrell.I would also pick Bute to beat Abraham...
The whole Kessler/Froch fight was pretty evenly contested, but AA just doesn't do enough and relies on his power.

It wouldn't surprise me if the ko shot doesn't come and Froch is up on the cards on the basis that he was just much busier.

I just think we found a rare gem in Pirog, no shame in losing to a guy like that.

I am going out on a limb to say that I think Pirog will do big things in boxing if given the opportunity, and Jacobs will bounce back and this loss won't seem so bad in the future.

Well said. Precisely what I was thinking, but I'm not surprised to hear noise from the drama queens on this forum.

What if you never thought Jacobs was that good?

You of course have a right to your opinion, but I think that terms such as 'exposed' and 'bum' and 'overrated' are far overused around here.

I thought Jacobs was a good prospect. Based on two fighters he face that also faced Guererro.

I didn't know how good his opponent was and now I know Jacobs was not ready for him.

Warning; if Jacobs looked this good against Fernando Guerrero opponents, don't put much faith in Guerrero. But you probably knew this based on how bad Guerrero looked against Ishe Smith last time out.

I've always liked Jacobs a lot. No shame in losing to Pirog. He's a Sergio Martinez type guy who's just really good that nobody knew about.

                  Jacobs should come back.

Pirog is just a good fighter.

How bad did Guerrero really look against Ishe Smith? I contend that you could have easily scored 2-7 for Guerrero and 1 was a 10-10 type round that could have went either way.

The ref was inept and let Smith hit Guerrero with no less than 40 low blows.

You are a fan that is obviously swayed by commentary as the SHOBOX guys, Farhood primarily, were all sappy about Smith's pre-fight tribute to Nick Charles, thus allowing themselves to be emotionally in Smith's corner throughout the course of the fight.

Guerrero landed the power shots throughout the night despite being low blowed constantly. All you have to do is look at the fighter's faces after the fight. Guerrero was unmarked and Smith's face looked like ground beef.

I had the fight 97-91. I could see 96-92 if you wanted to give Smith the 1st maybe bu that is about it.

WARNING: Guerrero and Jacobs are two completely different fighters. Jacobs is a straight up 1-2 guy who has never faced adversity in the ring prior to this bout. Guerrero is a very unorthodox southpaw with power in both hands who presents potential match up problems for anybody he faces.

Edit: as the for 'overrated', 'exposed' stuff, that's boxingscene, it'll always be that kinda stuff.

Jacobs is a power puncher according to his KO%, he didn't hurt Pirog at all.
