I agree with that. It would look like Martinez/Pavlik but with Pirog knocking him out but we need to see the fight happen. People are acting like Pirogs victory over a young prospect is earth shattering when in reality it isn't. Pirog is 30 and if he is going to do something, he has to do it now. Jacobs is just the first step in a long line of different levels of fighters. Pavlik would be next and then you get into the really elite of 160 with Williams and Martinez. Pirog has a long way to go.

If people are just looking at Pirog's destruction of Jacobs then they're ******. Pirog has a good resume and no one else managed to beat Kofi as bad as Pirog did.

It's a shame he's 30, but he's got another few years left in him. He's fought 3 times so far in 2010, hopefully he can fight another time at the end of the year. Then start his charge at the top middleweights in '11.

Agree, i'd like to see it. The difference is that Pirog can remain elusive while he's stalking and applying pressure.

Martinez vs Pirog would be an interesting fight, but Pirog isn't ready just yet. He needs to take some more scalps at 160.

I'm pretty sure Pirog destroys Pavlik based on the three fights I've seen of Pirog's and Pavlik's recent mental lapses.

The best of them all is Vasyl Lomachenko.

I seem to recall that he, who is from the Ukraine, lost to a Russian, who is also a southpaw, in Chicago in '07 then avenged that defeat pretty early in the 08 Olympics tournament in Beijing. In the same year, he also beat another Russian in the finals of the European Championships by a shut out or scores that are pretty close to it.

When is he turning over?

He has frightening ability. What is he, a lightweight? I can't remember.

He was the only guy at Beijing that really captured the imagination with the awful point scoring. I also remember a guy called Usyk who I'm not sure even medaled but was the only other guy who was fun to watch.

Lomachenko is a featherweight.

I don't understand why he hasn't turned pro, he's accomplished everything possible in the amateur ranks.
