Briggs has talked such vile crap about the Klitschkos so long (as soon as he saw that it was working for Haye), that it will be a pleasure watching Vitali give him a bloody battering. He'll have Vitali good and mad by fight time, because you know Briggs will turn this into a racial war, as he always does when he fights a white guy, even poor old confused Liakhovich, who Briggs accused of being a racist when Sergei had no idea what he was referring to.

I know, but given how massive that is he still has a long way to go before he reaches a respectable fighting weight, and at his age and level of his career I don't think that's going to happen. Realistically, I expect Briggs to come in around 275 or so, gas out in the first round and start whining about his asthma.

That was one of the lowest stunts anybody's ever pulled in the name of pre-fight buildups. And yeah, I bet Shannon would do it again without any compunctions.

He'll probably make it to 265 or so, but yeah, all Vitali has to do is move around laterally like he did against Arreola for about 3 rounds, at which point Briggs will be gassed and done and Vitali can fire away at will. It won't last as long as the Sosnowski fight, because the Soski was in great shape and his movement was good enough to allow him to stay in the fight until the latter stages.

I agree (good karma sent over!). Liakhovich comes from a very rough background like Briggs does, and seems like anything but a racist. I remember how puzzled he was when he looked over at Briggs in the final presser after Briggs called him a racist, and he just shook his head and said, "I don't know what's wrong with this guy. I don't care about his color." LOL.

Briggs has already publically called Vitali and Wlad ****sexuals, along with a number of other classless insults about them being "white boys that HBO loves" (somebody better tell Ross Greenberg about that -- I don't think he got the memo). I'd bet Briggs will start a race thing with Vitali, and that's a really bad idea on his part.

It seems like a lot of people who don't want to get into the ring with either brother throw around that term a lot, slave contract, yet for some reason I don't see Eddie Chambers, Sam Peter, Calvin Brock, Chris Arreola, and about 20 other fighters that had the balls to fight them, locked in any kind of slave contract.

This slave contract thing is a pure myth and everyone knows it.
