This fight will be interesting for about thirty seconds when Briggs still has the stamina to throw punches. After that it's going to turn into a long and painful looking beating. Or else Briggs is just going to quit on his still after two amidst boos and a storm of drinks cans thrown at him from the usually stoic German crowd.

Briggs should have continued his planned bout schedule. They might not have prepared him for Klitschko, but he would have stayed busy at least.

Stay busy for what? He's been given an opportunity to fight a Klit. Would you pass it up?

He was planning on fighting journeymen every month. He still could have fought a couple before this potential Klitschko bout. He can certainly do with the workout.

At this stage no amount of journeymen is going to work out Briggs to the point that he'll be ready to competitively fight a Klit. He's just looking for a cashout, and he's got it.

Klitscho's are going on a nostalgia tour fighting these old ****s. If theyre going to fight senior citizens, fight Holyfield. He's better than Briggs or Peter.

Hardly Wlad's fault none of the young guns want to get in there with him, is it?

By the way, Samuel Peter is 29.

Agreed. But it wouldn't hurt either. I don't have much hope that he will get to anywhere near 240lbs anyway. He's too lazy.

He's also far too muscled. Muscle mass can't be got rid of anywhere near as quickly as fat can even were Briggs to possess the work ethic to try to shed it.

He actually has lost a lot of weight. By his own admission, Briggs was way over 300 pounds not that long ago. He knew a cash-out fight depended on him at least looking the part.
