At the time Pacquiao entered the WW division against Oscar delahoya the top 5 welterweights in the world were Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, Williams.

Pacquiao has already fought 2 of the 5. The legitimacy of Margarito's career aside...the fact still remains he has victories over Cotto and Clottey who are still within the top 6 of the welterweight division.

Ok, Floyd has been in this same scenario and he gets bashed for it.

Cotto beat Mosley in a close fight where many people thought it could have went either way or a draw. Then Cotto went on to get destroyed by Margarito and Mosley destroyed Margarito, thus making him the #1 WW in the world.Mayweather beat him and people bashed Floyd for beating the NUMBER 1 WW in the world.

Mayweather was ranked #1 P4P at this time and came into the WW division and beat 2 of the top 3 guys right off the bat. When is the last time Manny went into a division and beat the top 2 guys or 2 of the top 3 guys in a division?

Lets remember who promotes Margarito now.... If anyone can make or break a fight with Mayweather its Mr Bob Arum (former promoter).

Manny hasn't beat or fought anyone @ WW as good as Shane Mosley. Reason Raoch stated that "Oscar is no Shane".

What reason did they have to fight future HOF'er Oscar De la Hoya at 147 THEN Cotto at 145 THEN Clottey at 147???

I told you already what Roach does..... its called picking and choosing the fighter at the weight class and weight they feel fit to get the advantage.

catchweights for pacman are designed to control "fight night weights" pacman would just weigh the same on fight night as during weigh in. his naturally bigger opponents usually put on 10-15 lbs after weigh in. pac just weighed 146.5 as his heaviest on fight night. how much do you think did cotto and clottey weigh on the fight??? and how much do u think will margarito weigh then??? if they do the fight at 154 margarito will probably weigh 165 lbs the lightest and 170 lbs the heaviest during the fight! and pacman would still be at 150!!! get ur head out of ur ass so you can see clearly.

You do realize why PAC and PBF are in top shape, when a boxer shows up at the weigh-in at 147, and then at fight night he's 163, that means he dehydarted himself to do this. The human body is not design for this, that's why Pac and PBF look so much faster than their opponents, these two only gain 2-3 pounds at the most at fight night, Margarito's body has to compensate for 10 extra pound, advantage PAC.
