Again you are taking something I said completely out of context. Ironically I have also address this point as well.

By the time Barerra fought Pac, he had taken on Morales on twice in brutal wars. On top of that he fought all the guys you spoke of (Hammed, nice ass whipping).

Key word being ALWAYS my friend. Go back and read you intial post.

I said after the Morales fights NOT the First Morales fight. Come on bro, looks like fruedian slip on your behalf.

Nontheless, I believe a Prime Barrera would have beaten JMM. Prime Barrera vs Pac would have been a great fight, too bad he was not the same fighter. Team Pac, Roach & Arum babied Pac and looked for the right opportunites for him to fight. They have always looked for weight advanatges, looked for fighters that are slipping or looked for fighters that have come off brutal beatings. They refused to fight Morales at a higher weight for II when Morales was having trouble making weight. sought Barerra when he was slipping. Just my two cents worth.

Yeah, I don't quite put Marquez in Barrera's league. Or Morales' for that matter.

Just out of curiousity who is more skilled, in your opinion, between a prime Barrera and a prime Marquez?

When you compare Barerra, Morales & JMM at their peak.....Barerra was the best fighter of the three. Morales did not win vs Hammed, Pacquiao was being carefully matched up by his Team and JMM was not liked by certain Promoters thus not offered the top fights (i wonder which ones).

On the otherhand I believe JMM has always been underated and underappreciated by many fight fans. The problem is that Promoters kept their fighters away from him becasue they knew he would be a difficult fight with little to gain for their fighters.

Sweet Pea by a K.O.? and you guys are saying that u've been watching boxing for more than what 10,20, 30 yrs? Sweet Pea had no chance knocking out PacMan even if they fight 5 times. in Manny's prime did you see him getting knock down? if Manny's today will fight Sweet Pea in his prime its anybody's ball game. don't even dare saying Manny has no chance. Manny's power has been proven over and over again. his chin has been tested in a welterweight division. to say that Pacquiao has no chance against Whitaker is just ******. Sweet Pea ain't even a big puncher.

Since we both agree that Barrera is a better fighter than JMM why did you attack my reply we we both see eye to eye on that point? This isn't a flame but all I stated concerning Marquez is Barrera is more skilled IMO.

FWIW not to spark a debate but you have to admit that Pac gave JMM a chance when no other top fighter was willing to do so.

They were both Champs in I, thus both would benefit from a win by picking up the opponents belt & proving they were the best Super Featherweight.

In II JMM was the champ and Pac was looking for the Super Featherweight belts. Pac fought JMM for his benefit since he was the challenger, not becasue Team Pac & Two Faced "A" gave Marquez a chance.

You state that Barrera is superior to JMM and Pac crushed Barrera.

I state I believe a Prime Barerra is superior to JMM.

My Point has been and has not changed is that Pac did not fight a Prime Barrera making the that satement or point moot.

JMM giving Pac such a hard time then would seem to play into the fact that Barerra was not the same fighter and probably past his prime/peak.
