Funny how you bring those guys up because now they're washed up and were past their prime in their last 20's. Why are you criticizing the kid for being 20 years old and has been stepping up against better competition since he came over to the US? Not his fault other fighters don't want to fight him.

Didn't you learn what happens to young fighter when you throw him in the ring at a young age against a fighter in his prime? Check what happened to Vargas after his fight to Tito. He was never the same fighter and his career was cut short because of that fight.

DLH was one of the last few fighters who wasn't protected at a young age and was thrown in the ring against some very good fighters right away.

A promoter and fighter want the fight to have a long career in the sport instead of having a 3-4 year run and be washed up.
I'm only criticizing the way they are marketing him. If he's supposed to be the next "JCC" then how come he's taking his sweet ass time fighting top fighters? Like I stated before, Morales and Barrera became world champions at 21 and had a great run. What the **** does them being "washed up" by their late 20s or early 30s have to do with anything? They still fulfilled an amazing career and became Legends so your argument there is not valid.

Vargas had good wins against Quartey and Winky... so you expected him to fight lesser fighters than those two great wins? WTF

So... as you say that the promoter and the fighter want to have a long career in the sport... why start up the hype so early?

Im responding to this you drooling ***ing mongoloid!

When I ask when is he going to step up you guys always reply this whole "He's 19 BS" Well he's 20 actually... if he's that good as most people are trying to sell him when will he step up?

Maybe if you read what you yourself wrote maybe you would understand what Im criticizing you ****** brain dead moron.

Just because the kid is popular doesn't mean he has to suddenly fight the best in the world nor does it make him the best in the world either he's just popular

Again it's not routine for 19 year olds and 20 year olds to win titles in the smaller weight classes with or without amature back grounds. Canelo fights in divisions where fighters are usually groomed in the Amature ranks.

Everyone knows he's still a very young fighter still learning about the sport. Give him some time... he's not like Khan saying he's the best and he can beat anyone.

Mike Jones is 20-0 is he being expected to fight top 10 welterweights yet? no!
We Mexicans generally turn pro at an earlier age than most Americans do though... But even so I do agree with what you're saying.

The problem I have with this kid is the way they're selling him so SOON.

Vargas had two great wins over top P4P fighters, What was he supposed to do back down and fight lesser opponents than them?

Your the ****ing idiot, The reason the kid is popular is because of the way they market him. A dumb ****ing American like you wouldn't understand because you probably don't even ****ing know what Televisa and Tv Azteca are dumbass.

So what if he's 20? If he's as good as they're selling him, Should he fight tomato cans until he's 50-0?

Thats fine and all but Saul is fighting in a weight class where the fighters are physically stronger. Who cares how they market him, its not like he's going around calling himself an all time great or anything.

Oh I see popular and well marketed means you have to fight hall of famers.(*** you are dumb) Yes I see him all the time on those channels I live in EL Paso TX numbskull again who cares if they market him well that doesn't mean much of anything other than he can draw a crowd into an arena. That doesn't mean he's at championship level yet.

You have a serious misunderstanding between the relationship between popularity and level of talent.

manny was a champ at 19....(lucky hit, but still)

floyd was a champ at 21.

barrera was a p4p contender in his early 30's... he gave JMM hell at the age of 33...

                      who are these "better competition?"
a fat junior welter(career lightweight) fighting at 150???

lanardo tyner is the best fighter canelo has fought(another blown up junior welter)

canelo should be doing the former champ tour, not the jouneymen fighting out of their weightclass ride.......besides, canelo is pretty short for the middleweights....his peak form is gonna be for as long as he can keep at 154....and he's already outgrown ww....
