    Briggs vs Liakhovich 12th Round

This is arguably Briggs' only decent legit win. He had such bad stamina it took him about 10-15 minutes just to celebrate the win apparently. Briggs does throw some nice punches - it's just a pity he has other problems. He certainly has the punches to trouble anyone.

This showed Shannon Briggs can be dangerous anytime, even late in a fight.

Of course, Lyakhovich was not wise to stand in front of him towards the end of the round, when he had the fight won on the scorecards.

Notice how the Round clock freezes at 26 seconds (for roughly 15 seconds) at the first KD to by Briggs more time.

Also notice how they wave the fight off even though Liakhovich should have 20 seconds, not 10, since he is knocked out of the ring.

One of the most corrupt and blatant displays of a robbery in recent memory.

King has done everything possible to screw Liakhovich. He was ranked #13 in the WBO when he beat Brewster. It was supposed to be a tune up fight for Lamon. The look of shock on King's face during the post fight is priceless.

Sergei has had two seperate 15 month layoffs (common for King fighters) He's a good fighter but had a raw deal under King.

The referee waved it off though, that's why the 20 seconds were not given. It didn't look like he was going to make it anyway, as it looked like he was stuck in quicksand or something.

Yeah and why? He should have been given the oppertunity to try to get back in the ring, he was already sitting up and there was virtually no time left in the 12th rd.

and what about the round clock stopping for about 15 sec?

                He got screwed.

                  - at 26 seconds the clock stops for 15 seconds.

                  - the time should be 11 seconds remaining after the fight restarts.

                  - He gets knocked out of the ring with approx 14 seconds remaining (Showtime time)

                  - which means the fight should have been over for 3 seconds already when he goes through the ropes.

Fight should have already been over.
