It should do. Fury is next line for a British title shot.

This fight needs to be built up a bit more.
Degale needs to impress a few more people and win an actual title first for me.

The September show is the best thing Warren has done in a long time.

As much as i'd like to see DeGale and Groves go at it, i'd much rather it be in a few more fights time, when both men are more established to the British public. DeGale has his olympic success to run from, but Groves need's to stamp his authority on the domestic scene to get his name out there.

I consider Groves a better fighter right now, but I'm not sure that'll be the case in about 2 years time.

I look at Groves and see a lot of the flaws that can be seen in David Haye, which isn't surprising considering that they have the same trainer. Haye of course has won some belts and had a good career, but the problem (from Groves perspective) is that Haye has won despite his flaws because he has been faster than all of his opponents, and he has had more power than any of his opponents. Groves on the other hand does not have the speed of Dirrell, Ward and while he isn't slow, there are a large number of fighters who he has no meaningful speed advantage over. The same is true when it comes to power; I don't see his power as any more impressive than the majority of top fighters in the division.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think Groves may end up with all of Haye's flaws but without the kind of talent to make up for them.

DeGale is still somewhat amateurish, but I think he's worked on developing a more professional style and has made improvements in that direction. In 2 years time I think he will be a better fighter and has a good chance of being among the best in the division.

It's hard to predict the future though, but that's the direction that both seem to be heading towards IMO.
