I always thought that Juarez would pan out. But, he is nothing more than a stepping stone, so, Linares should take care of him.

I always liked Rocky and think alot of his skills even though he seems to usually lack that 'passing gear' especially when he's fighting a top opponent.

If Linares beats Rocky, it'll say alot about his potential in the division, but who would he fight next? Probably not JMM. Katsidis maybe?

If Linares beats Juarez, I wouldn't be surprised if he fights Uchiyama.

you guys gotta remember the surgery on his shoulder, inactivity, and weight.

he had a hard time making weight because he had soo much time inactive do to the shoulder injury.

not sure how that surgery worked out for him, but it could benefit him or it could've just ****ed his shoulder up for boxing.

I doubt it though, I think he'll do great. He'll be back to the Linares that everyone was raving about.

Yeah losing to Juarez woudn't be good for Linares. It could be a possiblity though Juarez got's nothing to lose. Im hoping Linares wins before his injury and loss he looked great and I hope he can maybe get back to that and we can see him in some big fights.

linares is going to win this one.

in his loss, the weight loss combined with an unknown opponent to create a scenerio that ended terribly. the lesson he should have learned in that fight is don't stay too long at a weight that you're draining more and more of yourself to make and don't underestimate a fighter because he is unknown. no one comes into the pro game as the man to beat. everyone has to beat someone.

also, rocky juarez is not one of the best punchers in the sport. i mean, if we made a list of all the boxers that punch, he would be on it but he's not some dangerous knockout puncher.

If Linares loses to Juarez he's basically back at square one and has to rebuild everything all over again, don't expect to hear from him for a long time.

If he commits to a decent workrate and walks the fragile Linares down, I have no doubt he can stop him.

Linares is a prodigy no doubt, but losing to an unknown like he did raises serious questions about his chin and durability.
                    I saw something similar, until...

I saw that it's a 10 round fight and at 135, so even though I don't like Linares' stamina (never did, I thought it would be what did him in), I doubt Juarez' ability to get going early enough to stop him.

The 10 round and 135 limits will do more good for Linares (IMO his stamina problems might be due to weight draining) and will make Juarez slower, Linares will outbox him. At 130 and 12 rounds, I would be betting on the upset.
