Sugar Ray Leonard also won his last title, at LHW, at a catchweight of 167 lbs over Donny Lalonde. I don't see people nowadays taking anything away from Leonard, I don't see an asterisk next to his accomplishments...

If Ray Leonard can force a 175lb'er to go 8 lbs below the limit then it's really not a big deal for Pac to force Margarito down 4 lbs when he can make the weight easily anyhow.

Martinez was the WBC champion and recognized as either the best or number 2 in that division. That's why it matters. Do you really think Pacquiao (or Mayweather ) would fight someone like Martinez?

The WBC title is just another title. How conviient to your argument that you elevate it as anything more.

Weight isn't gonna help Margarito either.

If he comes into the ring at 165 lbs he is going to be a sitting duck for Pac.

I don't think Margarito will have any problem with this, in fact I think 150 is probably the best weight for him. He doesn't have to starve all the way down to 147 and he won't be as lethargic as if he weighed the full 154 for the first time in years.

As I said before Pac would have been able to get away with a catchweight of 147 lbs if he wanted to. Margarito has 0 leverage in this negotiation. When Pac says " jump" Tony says "How high Senor?"

Because he could weigh more on fight night if he weighed in at 154 instead of 150, so 150 is restricting him dummy.

Is that when Pac beats him, most likely with ease. WeŽll get all the general public and less informed journos telling us how Pacquiao is amazing, the best ever, 8 division champion. They won't mention the fact that he fought at a catchweight and it wasn't against the best of the division, i.e. Sergio Martinez, Paul Williams etc.

But that's ok, we'll just listen to the less knowledgable people and have to put up with it.
