Yeah, and? Martinez is far more deserving of a shot. Period.

Keeping boxing alive and in the eyes of the mainstream > Retiring and not fighting in a dying sport when you're pretty much the number one guy.

            obviously floyd not fighting.

inactivity is the worst possible option for the sport.

Fights like this don't keep boxing alive. At all. Making bad matchups doesn't help the sport. At all. The general public knows Margarito as a cheater who got caught with handwraps. Personally, I think it's been overblown. Regardless, the fact that he's getting such a huge opportunity, hurts the sport. Floyd vacationing doesn't help it either.

I see, you are keeping your foresight into those fights tight to the vest in case they come off so you can make a fortune with the bookies. Your like a wise sage, all this wisdom and you won't share it. Damn you.

This thread is going to be funny when Pac/Margarito wins fight of the year.

You can spew all this crap (since this is what you've bogged down to) but the bottom line is that Antonio Margarito doesn't deserve this big money PPV. End of story.

You're only thinking that way because you're a hardcore fan. We're all hardcore fans who log into a website to talk about the sport we love. There's still all of Mexico, the philipines, The dying fans of America, the UK and all over the world who aren't as into it as we are BUT they still come out and support big event fights like a Pacquiao/Mayweather fights. Stop complaining about it hurting the sport because you think it's a **** fight (which I do as well) and a **** fighter. It's not, It's helping it. Something Floyd Mayweather should be doing but he's not. It does hurt the sport with all this catchweight and paper title bull**** but it still helps to keep boxing alive. Year by year boxing like it or not keeps going south which in my eyes is a very sad thing. Right now, Pacquiao is doing what he can to keep it alive by being this mega star that people all over the world love.

That's the way I see things and no matter what you say I know I'm correct.
