I agree with this both have fought some BS fights lately and you can still be a fan of both or either fighter and admit that.

      Mayweather fights the best.

Pacquiao's career has been carefully managed by Arum and Roach.

I'm not saying Floyd has the best resume ever but it's much better than Pacquiaos. You can only beat the best in your era and PBF has done that, It wasnt his fault that Baldomir was #1. All you can do is win...

People say Mayweather's welterweight resume is poor, This is an unfair comment. You can only beat the best in your era and Mayweather has done this, Baldomir and Mosley were regarded as the best welterweights around when Mayweather beat them. The only top welterweight that he hasnt beaten is Miguel Cotto and that fight would have happened by now if Cotto didnt let Bob Arum dictate his every move.

Pacquiao cannot be considered a welterweight as he refuses to fight people at the official weight classes. This makes him a catch-weight fighter not a welterweight.

Sadly this is what people do when presented with the truth. They curl up in a ball and fling petty insults because the truth hurts!

The overiding point of my thread is to expose the idea that "Mayweather doesnt fight the best" and the myth Pacquiao does fight the best. I have proved my point that the only fighters who Pacquiao beat who were considered the best were Barrera and Hatton. Wheras Mayweather has won titles in 5 divisions and always fought the best in each division. This is highlighted by the fact that the fighters who Mayweather beat were all coming off impressive wins. Wheras the majority of Pacquiao's opposition, Excluding people like David Diaz, Jorge Solis and Joshua Clottey. Were coming off devastating losses.

It's clear and obvious who really fights the best. Mayweather!

I agree, When he retires. I think people will realise how good he was, Right now everyone loves Pacquiao because he is something different. But when people look back they will see he was nothing special, He just looks special because Roach and Arum have carefully managed his every move and done it in a way so that he can look very good.

If you look at Pacquiao's resume, He's fought mostly come forward, flat footed opposition who are coming off brutal losses. Barrera, Hatton, Cotto and now Margarito are tailor made for Pacquiao's style, Add into it the fact that they all had to lose alot of weight to fight him and you will see that it's not all that impressive what Pacquiao has done.

Mayweather on the other hand has fought every kind of fighter, He's fought brawlers like Gatti and Hatton aswell as technical fighters like Genaro Hernandez and Oscar De La Hoya along with slick fighters like Zab Judah. Some ignorant people might say "Hold on didnt Pacquiao beat De La Hoya" but anyone with a shred of intelligence knows that De La Hoya was basically a zombie in that fight due to the amount of weight that he had to lose. Mayweather on the other hand moved up and fought Oscar at his natural and best weight after a very impressive KO over Mayorga and still beat him convincingly.
