    This is actually pretty easy…

He’s definitely not scared of Pac – If so, why would he fight Mosley before Pac – That move alone doesn’t lend much credence to the whole scared theory as Mosley was a higher risk lower reward than Pac…Especially in the world of prize fighting…

Ever since Oscar retired PBF truly believes that he is the #1 P4P/PPV fighter in the world, retired on top with a bunch of money (We would have seen an ODLH rematch if Oscar would have given up the lions share of the rematch) and subsequently lost a great deal of that wealth through some very bad business dealings. He came back to regain some of his wealth and the limelight (No one really believed he was ready to retire) by facing and beating guys like Cotto, Mosley and Pac…He didn’t come back for anyone else…

The problem is he has to deal with Bob Arum and Michael Koncz, who are the guys who truly dictate who Pac fights…and Arum and Mayweather (GBP) HATE HATE HATE each other.

Arum had mentioned PBF’s name prior to him coming out of retirement as a future opponent for Pac…However, PBF automatically assumed he would get the lions share of the revenue but there is no way on god’s green earth Arum was or is going to let that happen…So, to make a point PBF decided to challenge one of Pac’s toughest challengers, JMM – 1. He could beat him handily and 2. Draw more people to see he and JMM fight than Pac could draw with JMM. Not many people really gave JMM much more than a punchers chance against PBF. Still this was not enough to sway the negotiations.

When they finally got to negotiating a fight it ultimately fell through supposedly in regards to OST – more precisely the number of days out they could be tested…if I’m not mistaken I believe the difference was 14 (PBF) to 24 (Pac) days out. This in and of itself is an argument that be taken in many different directions. Bottomline – The fight wasn’t going to happen, just yet.

Then Pac challenges Clottey and PBF challenges Mosley…they both win and now PBF thinks he can make an argument for the lions share…but as I mentioned earlier Arum is not going to agree to this.

Arum claims to have been negotiating through Greenburg with someone on PBF’s team and PBF’s team is claiming there were never any negotiations…Man I do not know what to believe…Only they truly know.

However, we do know one thing Arum and PBF must really hate each other to not be willing to INTELLIGENTLY NEGOTIATE what we all expect to be the most lucrative fight in history.

Both sides have enough supporters to disregard the negativity being leveled at them and I know people are acting like one side has more haters…but it is truly equal…just as many people hate PBF as they love him and the same can be said for PAC.

Last point…Neither fighter is scared because PAC would have accepted the fight if PBF would have accepted the 24 day cut off and PBF would have accepted the fight if PAC would have accepted the 14 day cut off.

PBF wants to fight Pac but on his terms because to him and his fans he’s the top dog and vice versa Pac, his team and fans feel the same way

Sorry so long…but there are my 2cents

    Peace Mo!

At this point in time, he doesn't appear to be worried about it in the least.

But considering he called Freddie's bluff about making the fight in March, then accepting a $10 million dollar per pound overweight penalty -- I don't think he's scared at all.

When he was away for almost 2 years, there were umpteen threads about him indirectly calling him out. He comes back as if nothing ever happened, and now some fans are scared he might dethrone Pacquiao.

i think floyd is showing Arum that he will fight pac on his terms and his terms only. especially when he tried hard to make the fight last time and pac walked away.

arums clock stunt was an attempted slap in floyds face and im sure hes making them pay for that too.

i think hes making them sweat a bit more. but i think that floyd is going to send them another message that pac isnt on his level by HOPEFULLY, fighting Sergio at the end of the year.

then he thought about fighting PAC

then PAC launched Cotto up in the air with an uppercut and that idea went out the window
Absolute crap from the haters as usual. The guy could easily have stayed retired if he was truly scared. The perception that he needed the money is absolutely ridiculous.

My thoughts are that he just doesn't want to fight every 6 months or whatever. At this stage of his career (Biggest draw in the sport) , he's content to take it easy and fight at most once a year, just like Oscar did before him, just like Sugar Ray Leonard did before Oscar.

I'll bet with anyone that this fight will take place in 2011 at some stage.

That pretty much it. He said it himself. He paid his dues coming up, he's the current highest paid boxer, and why fight more than once or twice a year when he can collect $40-50 million for ONE fight -- 36 minutes -- One night -- And pick up a belt in the process. He's not poor anymore.

                  Sergio Mora? Martinez, then yes.

Floyd came back to try and take back his P4P #1 status, it was clear. Pac ko Hatton, then after Cotto accusations start flying. He is definitely showing hesistation for the fight to happen. Why is he, is the question.
If Pac is so easy, prove it. The negotiations for the fight is WWE-ish and embarassing for all involved.

Floyd may break and say f@ck it lets do it, after so many articles and people on the street start calling him out. Its bound to happen.

I just don't understand why he refuses to fight the fights fans want to see, when they want to see them. We wanted the Mosley fight when Floyd was at 130 and Shane was at 135, we got it 10 years later when Mosley was old (still great, but not the same). We wanted Hatton at 140 in 2005, he waited and gave it to us after Hatton's weaknesses were exposed by Collazo at welterweight a few years later (again, great win but could have been more meaningful). We wanted to see him fight Cotto after he beat Shane, it looks like we might get that now after Cotto has been knocked out twice. We wanted to see him fight Margarito during either of his two recent welterweight title reigns, we never got that and never will. We want to see him fight Pacquaio, he demands never before demanded Olympic style random blood and urine testing and the fight dies. Manny agrees to the testing, and Floyd decides he's taking the rest of the year off.

I mean, the guy is one of the most talented, greatest fighters who ever lived. The very basic bottom line is that since he defeated Oscar, he's been satisfied with his wealth, and although he still trains and keeps himself in peak form, he isn't the hungry fighter he once was. He very simply does not fight often enough. Since defeating Oscar three years ago this past May, Floyd has fought a total of 3 times. Since April of 2007, Manny Pacquaio has fought 8 times, and is fighting again this year in November! It's hard to criticize Manny when he fight 3x more often then Floyd does.
