thats my opinion mate,i think floyd was never going to fight manny till the court case has been decided.

i think they have spoken with arum and agreed terms for the fight but they wont sign till rogers case is settled, also if everthing has been discussed and settled, floyd might leave goldenboy out of the fight and keep more money for himself,he might let toprank do manny bit and al haymon and himself do his own part, just a thought who knows

You can see this as biased, and opinionated but Floyd Mayweather Jr fought Marquez as a tune up to show that he could defeat Pacquiao's toughest opponent easily.

He fought Mosley, the # 1 Welterweight to gain leverage in negotiations.

hopefully, he's feeling that he's done good from himself and his family. and that he didn't buy-out his contract and make himself his own boss to be pressured into doing anything that he doesn't want to do.

the people that love him, still love him. the people that simply like him are still on the fence. the people that want to see him lose, want that more than ever now. people that know they must respect his ability as a fighter, still know they must. people that don't know what it's like to be the top performer in their sport, capable of calling their own shots with no worry about money, still don't know.

it was said he was working like the devil for that mosley fight, why not take a trip around the world? work hard, play hard.

I think he is laughing on the outside but he is crying on the inside
Floyd wants to be accepted and loved but he isnt
          He has issues with himself
          its textbook
he is all bark and no bite. I know he isnt scared of Manny but he sees that Manny is a real threat to taking his 0. That is all Floyd has for himself is the fact that he is undefeated. If you take that away then he is just like the vast majority of the boxers out there.

I really feel bad for Floyd cause he is a perfect example of how money doesnt buy happiness.
          Best of luck Floydie

Floyd is Floyd. I don't know what the **** this guy thinks. He's literally miles better than everyone near his weight. I guess not seeing your family for two months when training hard gets to him and now he's used to fighting once a year. I just don't get it.

Nice post bro and I especially agree with the last line.

I was just saying above, I think he truly is awaiting the verdict of his uncle's case. What do you think?

Yeah man I get that feeling too, you got to feel sorry for the kid.

Devoted his whole life to the sport he loves, fought for his nation in the Olympics and now is one of the most hated in the USA, and boxing world.

Of course he feels threatened, just like Pacquaio feels and other boxings towards their opponents too.

Also let me add, that he is all bark leading up to a fight / in a ring. However, once out of it he rarely displays it especially of late. Like he says all the time 'Money May' is just a character, a way of mentally defeating his opponents.

If I'm Mayweather I'm taking it all in stride, because he knows once he beats Pacquiao all the nay Sayers would have paid a pretty price to see him do it. So if I were him, I would continue to take my time and see what the Margarito numbers look like. If Pacquiao does his 700k, then make the fight in May 2011. If the fight still can't be made, then fight Martinez for the 260 strap. A win over Pacquiao or Martinez should equate to FOY and the distinction of being the only man in boxing History to win the award in 3 different decades.
