Comments Thread For: Vanes Martirosyan Says: "Bring on Miguel Cotto"

Recently I wrote a story on BoxingScene.com that Top Rank is seriously considering undefeated prospect Vanes Martirosyan as the next opponent for WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto. Top Rank has said that they would like to get the Puerto Rican star back in the ring this winter. [Click Here To Read More]

i think cotto would beat that dude easy, he will be too hungry, theres a chance he might get a rematch vs pacquiao or margarito, i hope is with margarito though, and let manny fight mayweather next year

Vanes aint no "tune-up" fight. The guy can can **** and is a big 154 pounder, that said, Cotto should beat him. I don't have a problem with this fight if it's on regular HBO like the Foreman fight.

I think Cotto should beat him but Freddie seams really confident in his guy. Maybe its a matchup thing i dont know but i would rather see Cotto vs Berto or Cotto vs Dzinziruk. This fight doesn't interest me much

Remember that Cotto-Foreman fight? He was the guy who fought on the undercard against Joe Green.

He trains with Roach. I think I remember them saying something about him being a bit undisciplined. He's ight.

I am not that familiar with Vanes, just watched 2 or 3 of his fights, but he has some decent wins for his age and is a natural light middleweight (unlike Cotto), so what makes everyone think that he'll be an easy opponent?

I am more worried than I would have been against Berto, to be honest.
