Could Pavlik Hang With Any Of These MiddleWeight Greats?

    Jake Lamotta
    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Carlos Monzon
    Marvelous Marvin Hagler
    Bernard Hopkins

I really think Pavlik was one of the worst middle weight champs ever but im open to debate.

Leonard might play it safe for a lil while but I think he may beat Kelly up..Marvelous breaks him down and stops him...well we saw what Bernard did...

I think Pavlik loses to any elite Middleweight, The reason? He's one dimensional and all of those Middleweights you mentioned were great fighters who could fight in several different styles. Bernard Hopkins for example, He can box, slug, counter punch, or attack you. Pavlik fights in one style and this only gets you so far, All truly great fighters have versatility and the ability to adapt and adjust to different opponents.

I agree 100% with the TS....Pavlik has to be the worst MW champion in history.....ALL those legendary MWs win one sided fights against him.....he is no where near the caliber of those GREAT MWs mentioned!!!

It still bugs me how Bernard couldnt beat Jermain Taylor, Maybe you can say it was a close win for him but Hopkins beat everyone easily in his MW reign. But he didnt seem to be able to figure out Taylor and then Taylor goes and loses to Pavlik twice. And then Bernard goes and schools Pavlik, About 4 years after he lost to Taylor. Styles make fights and I guess some guys just have your number, And Pavlik had Jermain's number. No doubt.
