Uhh, you either can't read or you can't comprehend what you read. Greenburg specifically said, "I had been negotiating with a representative from each side since May 2nd, carefully trying to put the fight together", Greenburg himself specifically. So how the **** can Arum play him if Greenburg himself was the mediator for the negotiation that took place. Second, why would Greenburg start a scheme with Arum that could potentially stop this fight from happening and lose tons of money. It is in Greenburg's best interest to make this fight happen because of all the revenue it could possibly make for HBO. It is too risky for HBO and Greenburg to **** around with this fight.

And this statement from Ellerbe, “I hear his statement and I stand by my statement.” , that's indirectly calling Greenburg a liar.

I think that it is mostly still about May vs Pac..... a lot of the posters that are calling Mayweather a coward, are also defending Manny for pick-pocketing an 8th-divisional title against that heavybag Margo.

Mayweathers career will be judged by two things..... who he fought, and when he fought them..... just like every other fighter.

Neither Mayweather nor Manny are gonna fool anybody in hindsight.

Here is how I view the situation with respect to both May and Pac, leaving aside the hardcore boxing fans and only taking into account the casual observer, it goes along the lines of something like this; casual fan says the following in regards to both Pac and May...

Casual fan: I hear that little guy is fighting and knocking out much bigger men, wasn't he fighting 2 to 3 weight classes below 147 less than 2 years ago?

Harcore boxing fan: Yes

Casual fan: That's pretty impressive considering he was fighting at much lower weight classes in the past 5 years, while Mayweather has been at 147 since 2005, same amount of years.

Hardcore fan: Yes, but Pac has cherry picked opponents which make him look good.

Casual fan: Who has he fought?

Hardcore fan: Cotto, Clottey and now Margarito

Casual fan: Who has Mayweather fought?

Hardcore fan: Marquez and a 38 year old Shane Mosley

Casual Fan: Marquez never fought at 147 before did he?

Hardcore fan: No he jumped up two weight classes and didn't carry the weight effectively at all.

Casual fan: So the only "real" welterweight Mayweather has faced since 2005, was a 38 year old Mosley?

Obviously I'm joking, but you get the gist of where I'm headed with this and how both men might be viewed, when you put things in there proper context.

Arum is tight with Greenburg. Maybe they both suspect that the Mayweather fight could be the end of the road for Manny..... and that BOTH HBO and Top Rank could double their revenue over the next 12 months with Manny vs Margarito >> Cotto >> Mayweather..... rather than just Manny vs Mayweather.
