I think what Ellerbe means is that they did not attemp to negotiate when they received the contract/ proposal sent by Arum because team Floyd is not thinking of fighting/ boxing for now. It means there was no negotiation made BUT there was an UNSIGNED CONTRACT/ PROPOSAL sent to them by Arum to make the fight....
Anyway, boxing must move on....Last edited by jltsmae; 07-20-2010, 04:19 AM.Comment

"What Ross [Greenburg] told me is that he said 'don't go crazy, take it easy, and we're still trying to make the fight" - Bob Arum.
Ok, Arum is a lying scumbag, but since lately it looked like Ellerbe's a bigger one at that.
And if this is true, then DAMN, Team Mayweather's in trouble in the future HBO dealings.
Obviously Greeburg see too much money in here for Pac-May. And he's trying to pacify Arum? to make the fight still.
But what happens if this is all over?
What will HBO do to Floyd?
We haven't heard anything from Greenburg at all. We have only heard from..... " I was lying yesterday, but today I'm telling the truth " Bob Arum.
Bob Arum is as dirty as they come, and it just so happens that he has a lot to gain from a Marg(TR)/Manny(TR) fight, as well as a Cotto(TR)/Manny(TR) fight..... especially if he thinks that Mayweather will likely be the end of the road for Manny, as I do.
The perfect scenario for Bob Arum would be to have every available in-house fight, before a Mayweather finale..... ensuring the best possible payday for Top Rank, and the best chance that the mantle remains with Top Rank if an upset happens before the Mayweather fight.
Just think about it for a sec..... especially if you know Bob Arum as well as i do.
What the hell is Greenburg gonna do?
Come out and publicly diss Arum?
It is highly likely that Arum has asked Greenburg to pass inquiries/information to Haymon, or whoever, and passed it off as negotiation. About a month ago he even stated that GBP were handling the negotiations?Last edited by LeadUppercut; 07-20-2010, 04:55 AM.Comment

Last week Arum was the only scumbag and I was quick to recognize his ploy, just like you.
But now that Ellerbe proved more that what Arum is, calling foul after being quiet the whole time, then what else do we need? Now we got 2 lying scumbags!
Yes. Ross Greenburg's say to all these, and whatever way he want's it, publicly diss Arum, go live worldwide, is what matters and IDGAS. Coz no one knows who's telling the truth.
One thing can be certain, is what Greenburg's gonna do with Floyd, the monster his company created.Comment

And that alone squashed everything beneath it's path.
