Agree with those who like D-Rod/Theopaene anyway. I never liked Curtis Stevens, though not as much disdain as the pederast he declined to fight this weekend. DGeorge, because he's a piece of garbage and doesn't deserve to be called Donovan.
I always had a soft-spot for Stevens because of his early development on the Broadway Boxing series. He was a fun guy to watch blow out nobodies. His interviews left much to be desired, save for his occassional freestyle outbursts.

Agreed on the difference with opposition. Stevens would be the B-Side against a decent fighter. Fights like those aren't advisable when you're coming off of a demoralizing loss.

Fighters who go from being out of shape to crashing to get back in shape are often the ones that suffer the most injuries in camp.

That's true but how long has he known about the scheduled August 7th fight? And how far out of shape was he during his layoff? If he got very badly out of shape during then he really only has himself to blame.

Curtis just isn't focused. Too many distractions plus he's from the streets and it's neva left him. He needs to get his damn career on track and stop playing.

No idea, but coming off a big loss like he was probably led to some comfort eating.

Rozier once told me that Curtis isn't really like that in real life. He said he was actually a star athlete in high school, excelling as a quarterback.

I don't know Curtis personally but from what I've heard he's far from a gym rat...

He seems too small to me to be fighting at 168 anyway to me...but I guess he's always had that body type since the amateurs

He basically gave up in the Brinkley fight after a few rounds IMO...or he gased...

Suprised Danny aint inspiring these other New York dudes to take care of business in the ring...
