Are people forgetting Sugar Ray Leonard?

Fought for 175 belt when he weighed in at 165 lbs, defended super middleweight title weighing 160 lbs but only against others weighing 160 too.

Give me a break with this Pacquiao nonsense, the guy is a midget and just be glad he's willing to fight the big guys in the first place.

Realistically, Pacquiao vs Cotto and Clottey never should have happened.

Yes, and Leonard was heavily criticized at the time...and rightfully so.

apparently only pac can't fight catchweight bouts for titles.

he had 2 catchweight title fights vs lalonde & the hearns rematch. great post by the way.

but since pac is pac & not a loud brash american, he is not allowed to fight catch weights.

If I wasn't a little kid when Leonard pulled that crap, I'd have given him hell for it too. It's crappy no matter who does it.

Let's not forget here that Bob Arum was Sugar Ray Leonard's promoter

There is no comparison if Leonard didn't make his opponents come in lighter than they like.
