I don't agree with the catchweight in any fight. This is completely to Pacquios advantage. If Pacquio wants to come in under the the weight limit then he should but he should not restrict the other fighter from coming in at the weight limit. In this case why not make the fight at 147 and he can defend his title. Then again it does mean another title in another devision right?? Pacquio will be in great shape Margarito possibly, hopefully. Pacquio wins this fight.

i dont agree with catchwieghts either but why is everyone complaiini about it now when its pac.....why not when bhop, hoya ,trinidad, chavez sr, sweetpea, leonard was doing itor atleat in a thread concerning them?..catchweight has been around too long and is part of commmision rules.....suck it up!

NO! Margarito is not even licensed because he got caught cheating.
Balls? All Pac is doing is padding his resume with titles because if he
really wanted a tough fight he would fight someone like Martinez, Angulo
or even Williams who are legit contenders at that weight unlike Margarito.
If Pac can't make 154, then why don't he just fight Bradley at 140/147?
or even Berto at 147? All Bob is doing is cashing in on his fighters.
Arum is not trying to break bread with NO ONE! He fed Cotto to Pac
at a catchweight and now Margarito (if it's true). There is nothing
credible about that. Now that I think about it. I don't think Arum
EVER wanted Pac in the ring with Floyd putting a match like this
together. I'm tired of Pac and Floyd with all the drama outside and
not getting it on in the ring. Boxing is not looking very good.

Folks are upset about Manny winning an 8th divisonal title against a second-rate opponent who doesn't deserve to fight for a title because.....
a.) he's ****
b.) hes a cheating loser and a disgrace to boxing

And this title fight against a second-rate opponent will be held at a catch-weight, which will be the second consecutive divisional title that Manny has won at catch-weight.

Just curious, how many of those fighters you just mentioned fought for titles at a catch weight?

Good point. But i personally can't defend Manny this time if he does fight Marg at 150lbs. IMO, why not just fight at 147lbs, Cotto and Marg fought at 147lbs. If he can't do 154lbs then don't do it at that weight class then. I didn't have a problem between Manny vs Cotto at 146lbs since it's only 1lb difference and Cotto himself said that it was his normal weight at WW, but this time is not acceptable for me. But you do have a good and valid point about other great fighters in the past that fought in a catch weight, most people that are complaining right now about Manny are just *****s and Manny haters, nothing new.
