what advantages do you talk of. Cotto was 1 pound below his previous fight and oscar was the one that wanted to fight at welterweight. Everyone thought pac was going to get killed how did everyone know oscar would mess up his training. .

Not saying it's impossible but as any professional boxer, college wrestler or professional bodybuilder will tell you...losing an extra pound - although not impossible - when you're already ripped, can feel like it's gonna kill you...You can't hydrate yourself or eat and you feel hella sick to your stomach.
