Gary Shaw is full of sh#t. The only reason he isn't going to put Angulo in the ring with Dzinziruk is because he knows he'll eat Angulo ass up. If the best fight is between two fighters in your stable then do the fight.

guys who only fight In-House are very suspect IMO, it is no telling WTF is going on, people are probably being paid extra to lose for certain fighters, you just never know, they are probably fixing fights for certain fighters so they can keep making money off of them

of all the promoters i think shaw is the most honest and gives the best fights. Marquez-Vazquez trilogy, Corrales-Castillo, ect.
He also puts his fighters in tough. Everyone says Bradley didn't look good against Abregu but Abregu is a good fighter. You know Golden Boy wouldn't have matched Khan against him.Comment

I wasn't aware that Abregu was promoted by Shaw, if so that exposes his hypocrisy pretty clearly.
Shaw's handling of the Dzinziruk-Angulo situation is far from noble. Refusing to have the interim champ face the real champ because there's a big risk that he'll lose and become less marketable is no better than what Arum would do in the situation. At some point he'll probably persuade Dzinziruk to take a fight at 160, causing him to stripped and giving Angulo a belt without ever having to fight for it.
If Angulo and Dzinziruk were with Arum or GBP they'd probably have more worthwhile opponents than Alcine and Daniel Dawson.
All promoters do the in-house thing sometimes though. Aside from Arum and GBP, you have DiBella, who doesn't even have that many fighters, but still managed to match them up (Berto-Quintana, Martinez-Cintron, and at one point there was talk of JT-Green).
I don't have a problem with it, it's only once you get to the level of Pac-Margarito that it's a bad thing. But on the other hand Cotto facing Margarito, Clottey, Pac and Foreman are fine in my eyes because those were all good fights.
The only thing I would say for Shaw above the other guys is that he seems to care about his fighters more than GBP and Arum do.Comment

This site is extremely slow as far as getting news. More like BS is the last to get stories...lol
With that said, this is what I was telling spray resistant yesterday about Shaw ****blocking Angulo from his shot at a title. The WBO order this in May and sorry @ss shaw just ****ted on all of Angulo's hard work to earn his #1 WBO ranking and status as intern champ. Not only is Angulo gonna be stripped of his intern status but I heard the WBO will drop him down the rankings. How this constitutes as doing the right thing or taking a stand is beyond me. More like Shaw is just full of **** pretending to be a good guy doing the right thing.Comment

You're damn right that Shaw would do the same **** if he had a huge stable like GBP and Top Rank. The reason he won't match those two fighters is because he doesn't have very many to start with. Top Rank has several fighters and if anyone loses to Pacquiao, they are still marketable because they lost to the best. Take Ricky Hatton, he lost to both Floyd Jr and Manny, but if he were to fight again, nobody would hold that against him since he lost to the two best fighters on the planet right now.
Personally, I think all promoters should be destroyed and the whole system started over. You get one international commission that do rankings and whatnot (and no conflict of interest like how ODLH owns the Ring and can possibly manipulate rankings) and then the best can fight the best. With all the alphabet title belts and scumbag promoters, we are lucky we get the fights we do get.Comment
