Is Teddy Atlas Right to want more time to Prepare ?

Im just finished watching an interview in which Teddy Atlas explains why he DIDNT want Povetkin to fight Wladimir Klitschko at this time

He says he is currently building Povetkin up and that he is nowhere near the finished article yet and for that reason he thinks povetkin was right not to take this fight. He was noted as saying there was a fair bit of pressure from the promoters who were keen on the fight but if im going to be putting my guy into a title fight im putting him in there TO WIN and as such the contract was 75/25 in favour of Klitschko its been reported it was a slave contract but many say Saureland is not to be trusted

What do you guys think of Teddy wanting more time to prepare Povetkin ?

I don't know how Atlas can look people straight in the face, why didn't he say they weren't ready for the fight, before he demanded Klit to take an OST.

Soon as Klit accepted OST, Atlas comes out and say they aint ready anymore.

Atlas never wanted this fight from the beginning. What a joker.

Povetkin will never be ready with that sour-faced moron as his trainer. I say good riddance to the guy. Let him fight the Leo Nolans of the world and languish in Audley Harrison post gold limbo.

i mean how many people walk away from a 2 million dollar paydaynot many i can tell you so that would lead us to the conclusion that this isnt about money to Povetkin or Atlas its about WINNING !!!

AND IF HE CANT WIN HE WONT FIGHT !!!

Atlas is a smart man. Povetkin is way to small for Wlad. Wlad will murder him. Povetkin needs a whole lot more skills b4 he jumps in with Wlad.

Plus Atlas needs more time to work with Povetkin, the time they have had so far is nothing when it comes to training new techniques and actually being sharp.

I would love to see Povetkin vs Adamek though.

That fight would be FOTY material.

Screw that. I can't believe these guys are all so scared of the Klitschkos that they turn down shots at the heavyweight championship. If you lose, so what? You can come back later with the experience of how the fight went. And what if he could win?
