Cotto's adviser/attorney made it CLEAR they are not talking about a bout between them. Cotto just became a partner in Golden Boy more or less and Floyd is trying to get on that bandwagon w/ his bull**** fighter stable.

I wouldn't mind a Mayweather-Cotto match, as I'm sure most fans wouldn't, but they are discussing promotions in PR just like Pacquiao and his MP fighters matched up w/ the likes of JuanMa Lopez in PR. It's an expanding market on that island for high profile fights and Miguel and Floyd want to get in on it while the iron's hot.

Uhh, for those people that are accusing some of the members not reading the article, i'm sure most of us read it, i for one did. I'm going by the possibility that they might be discussing about fighting each other regardless if they stated that they are not, and that they might actually do fight. So that is what my post in this thread are based on. Again, if this fight do happen, then Floyd is the biggest joke in boxing history.

Yeah he probably wouldnt tko him but then again the fight would probably be at 154 not 145 and Cotto having a good corner now would certaintly allow for a completley different outcome than Pac v. Cotto...

I dont understand. He would be the biggest joke because he is fighting people that are willing to take randome blood test up until the date of the fight (Im sure Cotto would agree to this.) And someone willing to take a smaller portion of the purse, while Pac is fighting a well know cheater? Explain yourself...
