How the hell would the public like this fight outside of Floyd's nuthuggers and Cotto's loyal PR fans?

Actually I would based on the clash of styles but I'm the minority apart from the those two group of turds.

Cotto is a free agent. Floyd fighting Cotto means, for him at least, he did not duck him and once you are free of Bob Arum you can make fights easier. Proving his point that he is not ducking Pac and is all Bob Arum faults.

If Gayweather ends up fighting Cotto in December, he will be the biggest joke in boxing of all time. And i hope Cotto woop his ass for not fighting him earlier at 147lbs when Cotto was at his peak and undefeated.

Yeah , and lets hope Floyd wants him at 145 and not be a coward and face him at 154 , or better still just wait for Cotto to be KOED again and fed a stiff , and then fight him at 145 , then Floyd can be great lol .

I'm a huge Cotto fan but I'm not budging from my prediction. If Mayweather's rusty and Cotto is on fire that night, at BEST he wins 4 rounds (HUGE IF).

Nothing would put me on FULL NUTHUG mode than to see Cotto taking Mayweather's '0'...but all I see is Mayweather serving up a straight right hand platter and Cotto going back for seconds, thirds, etc. It's going to be a buffet, and Cotto is going to get sick from eating so many.

He has a chance. He's got some boxing skills (better boxing skills than Mosley perhaps) but he eats WAY too many power punches. And for him to go up against a guy not only known for his uncanny defense AND pinpoint accuracy...it's going to be a long night for Cotto. It won't be as destructive and agonizing as the Pacquiao loss, though that might be because I've already made peace with and foresee the Cotto express crashing that day.
