Shaw and Dibella should take the fight to Showtime. I am sure they will take it. Also, I wonder why HBO wasn't this demanding when it came to Pacquiaio. Why didn't they tell Arum that either you and Pac negotiate honestly and secure a deal to fight Mayweather or we will not show Pac/Margarito or any other Pac fights on our network. HBO obviously has a double standard, just like the boxing media.

But Bob Arum does it all the time with crappy cards that no major network is understandably interested in. Even worst they are 40 bucks(that's a lot for such crap cards) and only sell less than 100k each. Last one sold 15k. Pathetic numbers.

Even Hopkins-Jones II(two 40 year olds who need to retire) sold more than those Latin Fury/Pinoy Power cards.
I've never seen official numbers but from everything I've read, those Pinoy Power/LatinFury Cards routinely pull in 70-100K buys. That may not seem like a lot but consider that HBO offered $250,000 for the Klit-Povetkin fight.

If Arum puts together a Latin Fury card and charges $40 for it, 70-100K buys translates to $2.8-4 million in PPV revenue which all goes to Top Rank. Most of these cards feature fighters that HBO or Showtime wouldn't shell out a dime to feature on their network but Arum figured out a way to exploit a certain fan niche and make millions.

Hate him or love him, Uncle Bob has had boxing on lock for 40 years. All other promotional companies are amateurs compared to Top Rank.

I'd like to see this fight, even though it's a pretty easy win for Martinez. But HBO is right to call on Williams instead. Dude has talked too much **** about being avoided to turn away from a world title match the network and his opponent are both demanding. Especially since it's a rematch with a guy he has a close win over.

HBO does not want to see their boy Angulo get dusted after all the money they have poured into his image. If I was Sergio I would give Showtime a call.

some people talk about how martinez would just outbox angulo,i'm not to sure about that, think about it,williams made it a close fight, hit him a lot and williams is no boxer,he like to trade and is a volume puncher, angulo throws a lot of punches, not like williams,if he does that he has a chance,he hits way harder than williams and i think he cuts the ring off well
